The Mexican pork cheek bowl is well-seasoned and generously portioned, paired with healthy ingredients. The acai Greek yogurt bowl has a beautiful presentation but a small portion, with a smoothie-like texture. The drink, a Eastern Beauty guava bubble tea, is presented in a tall glass, but the fruit flavor is not prominent, making it not worth the price.
The restaurant environment is simple and comfortable, with exquisite plating, suitable for health-conscious eaters. However, the overall cost-performance ratio is relatively low, and the willingness to revisit is not high.
The service aspect was not specifically mentioned, but it shows that the overall price level of the restaurant seems to be mismatched with the quality of the food.

I’ve been saving this restaurant for a long time. On this day, the weather was nice, so I decided to wander nearby. I arrived at around 11:30 without a reservation and luckily found a spot (previously, online reservations on weekends are almost always fully booked). I ordered the following dishes.
▪️ Mexican Pork Cheek Bowl $420
· Half brown rice quinoa and half salad (full brown rice or full salad can also be chosen)
I remembered this dish being quite good, so I ordered it. There was a lot of meat and ingredients, with avocado, sweet potato, and more. The overall combination was very tasty! Even though I shared it with a friend, I could easily finish it on my own.
▪️ Acai Greek Yogurt Bowl $360
I had also previously eaten at a trendy yogurt place that had generous portions, so I thought I’d give this one a try. However, the quantity was quite small. Although the presentation was very beautiful, the main yogurt and grains were lacking. The texture in the middle was more like a smoothie, and there wasn’t much fruit either; it really just felt like eating something pretty with no substance.
▪️ Oriental Beauty Guava Sparkling Tea $220
· Nantou guava, Beipu organic tea
▪️ Lemon Sparkling Black Tea $220
· Nantou Alishan, Miaoli black tea, lemon, grapefruit, sea salt
Just looking at the menu, these drinks seem impressive. They came in a tall glass, but! There was really very little — it tasted like kombucha. The fruit flavors written on the menu weren’t very prominent… for this price, a milkshake might have been more worth it.
Overall, I don’t know if it’s because I happened to choose dishes with low value this time… besides the pork cheek bowl, I felt the yogurt bowl and drinks weren’t really worth it… but it’s healthy, the environment is simple and comfortable, and the presentation is beautiful, making it a refined dining experience. I don’t have a strong desire to return.
Previously, I looked for many brunch places and found that a lot of people recommended Tamed Fox in the Xinyi District, so I made a reservation right away! It's located on the first basement level, and you need to walk around a bit. The restaurant is really large with many options, including window seats for one person, two-person tables, large tables, or even quieter areas further inside. There are also quite a few outdoor seats available.
I saw many people dining alone, and indeed, this environment is very friendly. I took a look at the menu and found that, for brunch, it is not very cheap, with prices ranging from 300 to 580 NTD.
What did I eat today? 📝
𓌉𓇋 Hello, Avocado Open Sandwich
Scrambled eggs / Beetroot Chickpea Hummus / Halloumi Cheese
Roasted Spiced Sweet Potato Cubes / Baby Lettuce / Parmesan Cheese / Sourdough Bread
After adding the service fee, it was 396 NTD. The portion was quite large, and it was hard to take a bite without it falling apart. I felt satisfied after eating. However, I felt that this dish leaned more towards the taste of the food itself; combining all the elements created a healthy feeling (?). The lettuce was slightly bitter paired with a faint cheese aroma, which was subtle and mysterious, but it felt a bit too plain for me, so I wouldn't want to order it again next time.
I used to like Tamed Fox!
I don’t know why I feel like eating this time is so boring.
I ordered the rosemary honey chicken drumstick bowl for 390$ plus sourdough bread for 70$
It seems the price has increased... I remember it wasn't that expensive before...
The scrambled eggs and stir-fried mushrooms in the chicken drumstick bowl are both delicious, and the chicken drumsticks also taste good, like honey sauce, but this time I got tired of it after a few bites~ The kimchi is also a bit unremarkable, not spicy, not sour, and quite bland. I I didn’t even finish eating…! (rare)
Jinxuan Oolong is pretty good, but at the cafe price
This time I feel that the overall price has increased, and the price cannot keep up with the quality of the food. There are many flies when sitting indoors, which is very annoying 🤔
If I come here next time, I will probably order the avocado smoked salmon open sandwich
