Char siu rice and drunken chicken are recommended dishes, especially the drunken chicken paired with plum wine sauce, which is even more delicious. The cocktails are innovative, with a few small surprises in the ingredients.
The interior is decorated in Japanese style, with dim lighting and a bit noisy, and the smell of stinky tofu is quite strong.
The staff provide attentive service, paying attention to the needs of the guests and responding quickly when adding orders.
I personally think this is a tavern with a decent standard for both food and drinks.
It's located on Jian Guo North Road, about a ten-minute walk from Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station, which is actually quite quick.
The interior decor is completely in a Japanese style, and the lighting is quite dim, making it a bit hard to read the menu. It's also somewhat noisy. What I find most puzzling is that they sell stinky tofu, which has such a strong smell that it completely overpowers the flavors of other dishes... a bit speechless about that.
As for the food, I highly recommend their char siu rice; there is a lot of green onion, so if you don’t like it, remember to avoid it or inform the staff. The drunken chicken is also super delicious, especially when dipped in their plum wine sauce, making it even tastier. 😋
In terms of cocktails, I think they have quite a unique selection. Many have seemingly nice flavors, but each has a little surprise ingredient that's unexpected, and they all blend well together. Some of their cocktail ingredients are really special, so you can try tasting these innovative flavors.
Cocktail prices start from around 400, but it seems this is the price range in both Taipei and New Taipei City now. 🥲
A very cool place, very retro and comfortable. The atmosphere is very lively, perfect for having drinks and chatting after work.
The marinated platter pairs well with drinks, but unfortunately, the chili oil isn’t spicy enough. My favorite is the shredded chili chicken spring roll, but there are actually many items on the menu that we couldn't order because there were only two of us.
I didn’t particularly like the Highball; it felt a bit lacking in richness. However, all the cocktails are of high quality.
The service from the staff is very considerate. When you want to order more, just turn your head, and they will immediately notice and come to ask what you need.
The business is great, so it's best to make a reservation in advance.
