The dishes are fresh and the flavors are good. The chef introduces each dish. The plum wine is refreshing but in small portions. The flounder sushi paired with goat cheese is special. The sea urchin sushi has no off-putting taste. Every dish is very delicious, and the prices are affordable.
The store is small and a bit crowded, but the overall atmosphere is comfortable. Although it's not stunning, the experience is quite nice. It's suitable for celebrating birthdays.
The staff are friendly, and the master is very kind. They pay attention to customer needs and provide little surprises. The plates are organized and replenished frequently. They ask about dietary restrictions in advance, showing considerate service.
Location: Zhongshan District, Taipei City
Restaurant for celebrating a birthday meal
This time we chose a Japanese restaurant near Zhongshan
A menu-less meal prepared by the chef
They kindly inquired about any dietary restrictions the day before
The benefit of a sushi bar is that the chef introduces us to the dishes
The seafood and ingredients are delivered fresh directly from Yilan
This includes sashimi, sushi, and soup made with seafood, all perfectly prepared
No need to use our hands at all, which is wonderful
Additionally, there are some special dishes we haven't tried before
Like the cold corn soup, which we’re not used to, but it was quite tasty
Overall, every dish was delicious
The service was excellent as well
Also, the prices are very reasonable
Compared to other omakase-style Japanese restaurants, it’s really affordable
Just a bit over a thousand NT dollars per person!
Highly recommended for those who don’t have a particularly high budget
And want to enjoy omakase-style Japanese cuisine.
Near Zhongshan Station, there is a small omakase Japanese restaurant that feels a bit cramped. Considering the amount of food you get, it's quite a good deal. The chef introduces each dish, and everything tastes quite fresh. The flavors are generally okay, but I found the soup to be a bit bland. The portion sizes were just right for me; I didn't feel overly full.
I ordered some plum wine, which was refreshing but a bit too small—gone after about five sips. My family ordered flounder sushi topped with goat cheese, which I thought was very special. The chef was kind enough to hear that I wanted to try it and grated some extra cheese onto my plate for me to sample. He said the key is to enjoy the food, and it didn't have the goat cheese flavor I imagined; it tasted quite good. We also added sea urchin sushi, which didn’t have any strange taste and was pretty good.
For my birthday, they gifted me a cute little sushi cake. The chef and staff were very nice, and they frequently refilled the daikon and ginger. They also cleared our plates during the meal. Overall, it wasn’t mind-blowing, but the experience was quite pleasant.
