The quality of the dishes at Din Tai Fung is consistent, with the spicy wontons and chicken xiao long bao being particularly popular. The shredded pork fried rice and braised beef noodles also perform well. The steamed lamb dumplings are unexpectedly delicious and taste even better with the spicy sauce. Overall, the dishes are satisfying.
The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere and a comfortable environment, making it suitable for dining with family and friends. While waiting, there is a City Super nearby where you can browse around, making the time pass quickly.
The staff is friendly and professional, with frequent refills of tea. Although the waiting time is longer on holidays, the quality is consistently excellent, making guests feel at home.
📍Zhishan Station, Taipei (Tianmu SOGO B1)
The quality of Din Tai Fung's various branches has always been very consistent. From service and environment to food, each branch maintains a very high standard. It's a safe choice for gatherings with family, friends, or colleagues without the worry of a disappointing experience, and it will definitely offer a hospitable experience.
The only drawback is that you might need to arrive early to queue for a number. Otherwise, during meal times, you might have to wait for about an hour.

High-quality service and food, a proud Taiwanese establishment 🇹🇼🥟
Din Tai Fung is my favorite spot! I've been there twice in September ☺️
When I’m unsure about what to eat, Din Tai Fung is a comforting, reliable choice with consistent quality that never disappoints.
The only small downside is that they don't take reservations, so the wait times on weekends are always long (I recommend downloading the app to check the waitlist status).

Order Items
🐔 Chicken Soup Dumplings (5 pieces, $135):
There's a cute little chicken 🐤 in the steamer to mark it 😍
The staff reminded me that the little chicken is made of flour and is edible 🫶🏻
I really recommend the chicken flavor compared to the usual pork soup dumplings! When you bite into it, the juice that flows out tastes just like chicken broth 😚 The satisfaction it brings is doubled for me!
🥣 Hot and Sour Soup (Small, $120):
This soup leans heavily towards sour and vinegar flavor. The staff reminded me to stir it before drinking, as the vinegar settles at the bottom.
For me, the vinegar flavor is quite strong; I wonder if I could ask for a little less vinegar.
🍜 Dan Dan Noodles ($140):
This was my first time ordering this item.
I felt that the sauce was overly seasoned! By the time I was halfway through, it became too salty (even the fried rice lost its flavor).
I won't order it again next time.
🍤 Shrimp Fried Rice ($300):
A must-order every time 😚
Adding the sauce from the red oil dumplings to the fried rice is truly a perfect match!
🥟 Red Oil Dumplings with Vegetables and Meat ($200):
I love the vegetable and meat flavor at Din Tai Fung; the bok choy is chopped very finely, and you can't taste any vegetable residue, which is great.

Would I revisit: Yes!
This is a great flavor that I crave periodically 🫶🏻

🔸 What’s great about Din Tai Fung in Tianmu is that you can pay with the EasyCard (you can also get a 5% rebate using certain credit cards linked to the EasyCard).
After watching the night view from Yangmingshan, the most enjoyable place to visit is Tianmu Din Tai Fung. It's already eight o'clock in the evening, and I think there shouldn't be too much of a schedule even on Sunday. I didn't expect to have to wait for about 30 minutes when I arrived, but there was a big City Super next to it, which was very easy to browse, so the time passed in no time.
Personally, I wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered four dishes: Xiao Long Bao, Shrimp Stir-fried Hands with Red Oil, Cold Bamboo Shoot Salad and Braised Beef Tendon.
The cold bamboo shoot salad is a dish that Guisangsang ($290) likes very much. The cold bamboo shoots they choose have no bitter taste at all and are very refreshing!
We made a mistake this time and ordered the braised beef tendon. We had ordered it before and didn't like the taste very much, but we forgot this time. It's overly sweet and tastes like jerky. We just don't like it.
The quality consistency of Din Tai Fung is really unsatisfactory, and you can hardly feel the difference between each branch. Of course I still push!
