The quality of the meat offered by the restaurant is excellent, especially the various types of Wagyu and steaks, which are delicious but priced on the higher side. The side dishes and drinks are normally tasty, and there are a variety of premium sauces available for pairing.
The staff were professional and enthusiastic, providing a detailed introduction to the dishes and offering helpful tips for customers grilling their own meat.

Came to celebrate a friend's birthday dinner at a place the birthday person liked. We dined for two hours, and I made a reservation around early January, which was quite easy to do. There are also several other branches in Taipei, but be aware that not every location has mentaiko sauce. That day, we weren't sure how much meat to order, so we ordered a lot of different dishes, and there were options for “challenge price” (self-grilled) and original price (grilled by staff), with the challenge price being almost double! It’s definitely better to self-grill. 😆
Since I was dining with friends, I don’t remember every flavor and texture in detail, but here’s a simple record:
▪️ Japanese premium wagyu moon-viewing gold brick (challenge) $580
▪️ Japanese premium wagyu BBQ chunks (challenge) $640
▪️ A5 wagyu ribeye/slices (thin cut) (challenge) $560
The gold brick was smaller than expected, but it was cut very neatly. Because it was thick, it needed a bit more grilling, and dipping it in egg liquid was pretty good. The BBQ chunks were tasty. The ribeye was super tender after just a quick grill!!
▪️ American prime beef short ribs (challenge) $330
▪️ Prime filet mignon with garlic butter (challenge) $420
The short ribs had beautiful marbling and tasted great when grilled; I even accidentally ordered a second portion because it was so good. The filet mignon initially looked thick and had a deeper color, so I didn’t think it would be that good, but it turned out to be top quality... it was super fragrant and juicy after grilling. 🥹 My friend is great at grilling! The garlic butter was quite garlicky, but I didn’t feel it added to the dish significantly.
▪️ Scallop with sea urchin (challenge) $140 each (total $420)
The scallops were big and just needed a quick grill since they were of sashimi grade. The sea urchin was sweet with no off-flavors, and since I’m sensitive to the taste of sea urchin, this one was pretty good!
▪️ Matsusaka pork (challenge) $180
▪️ Pork belly (thick cut) (challenge) $150
▪️ Iberico pork collar (challenge) $280
The pork dishes were quite good; they can all be grilled a bit longer for a nice crispy texture.
▪️ Japanese mountain yam (challenge) $90
▪️ King oyster mushrooms (challenge) $90
▪️ Taikeng No. 9 $20 per bowl
The sides were normally tasty, but the rice wasn’t particularly well-cooked; however, the wagyu was so fatty that I ended up eating a lot of it anyway.
▪️ Kavalan Mountain Chief Port-flavored single malt Highball $285
▪️ Aomori apple sparkling juice (less ice) $140
▪️ High mountain Jin Xuan tea $60
▪️ Roasted tea pudding $80
The drinks were normal, but! We actually didn’t get to eat the pudding before we left… the staff didn’t remind us during checkout. 🥲
Before ordering, I asked the staff for recommendations. A young guy gave a super detailed introduction!! Although I forgot most of it afterward, I felt his professionalism was quite impressive. Even though we ordered the challenge dishes, the staff came out with the dishes and still helped a bit, suggesting some grilling tips.
Overall, I think the quality of the meat was excellent, and there were many high-end and tasty sauces available for pairing (without realizing it, we ate a lot of kombu salt), but it was on the pricey side. If it were at full price, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to eat that much… Thanks to my friend for being great at grilling. I personally don’t love BBQ as much, so I probably wouldn’t return specifically for it. But I did enjoy the flavors a lot, so I’m still giving it a 3-star rating.
