This weekend, I had the opportunity to stroll around Xindian and thought I'd check out Yulon City since I had never been there. There were really a lot of people on the weekend, so we chose this BBQ place to eat. The reviews looked good, but my impression is that I won't be coming back.
First, the rice. Guo Ji once said: "If you're opening a restaurant, please learn how to cook rice first!" This rice was really subpar, not fragrant at all and clumpy, which seriously lost points.
We ordered the premium Japanese wagyu beef; it did have flavor, but the portion was really small. The thick-sliced beef tongue was completely unacceptable, wouldn't recommend it at all.
I was quite looking forward to the charcoal grill, but for some reason, the grill net was a bit thick, and the fire didn't really get going, making it difficult to achieve the desired Maillard reaction. Plus, halfway through grilling, we were forced to change the grill net, and the net that we had finally heated up instantly cooled down, which was a bit shocking...
In the end, the two of us spent over two thousand (currency), and I completely felt it wasn't worth that price. At first, I wanted to give it one star, but the server sister was very enthusiastic and helped redeem one star.
