Tainan locals always say, "The best beef soup is right at the end of my street," but this time at "A-Cai Beef Soup" in Anping, although it's not at my street corner, I truly think it's one of the best beef soups in Tainan.

The broth is sweet and completely free of MSG flavor, making it very pleasant to drink. The beef is freshly sliced and cooked right on the spot, tender and not tough, showcasing its freshness. There are also plenty of sauce options on the table, allowing for customization to suit individual tastes, which is very thoughtful.

I must highly recommend their pork braised rice; it's one of the best I've ever had in Tainan. The sticky, gelatinous texture and the aromatic meat sauce make it impossible to stop once you start mixing it with rice! Remember to definitely order the pork braised rice, and don't choose the beef braised rice, as the taste is significantly different.

The stir-fry dishes are average; although they might not have the intense wok flavor that some beef soup places do, they are still acceptable. On the contrary, the stir-fried beef noodles were a delightful surprise this time, with generous beef portions and noodles that are chewy and absorb the sauce well, perfectly seasoned.

This place is really popular, and you often have to queue regardless of the time. But every time I come to Anping, I'm still willing to wait.
