I wasn’t expecting much, but to my surprise, I really loved it! It’s very similar to a lava chocolate cake, with a crispy exterior and a molten center. The chocolate is super rich, but it’s sweet! I really like it!

▶ French Almond Croissant $250 ◀
The almond croissant truly amazed me! It’s not the typical crispy exterior, but it has a ton of almond slices on top, and inside there’s almond paste, which is incredibly fragrant!!

▶ French Lemon Tart with Italian Meringue $250 ◀
The tart crust of the lemon tart is super crispy and delicious, the balance of sweetness and acidity from the lemon is just right, and the meringue on top is perfectly balanced! Although it’s a very simple dessert, it’s really impressive.

▶ French Crepe with Seasonal Fruits + Peanut Butter, Jam, Chocolate Caramel Sauce $450 ◀
The crepe is a bit on the ordinary side, probably because there’s too much sauce and we ate slowly, so only the outside remained crispy. However, the middle crepe paired with the sauces was still very tasty!

▶ Organic Herbal Thyme Lemon Tea $400 / 3 people ◀

This French grandpa should be familiar to everyone 👨🏻‍🦳 I often saw him on IG reels recently, and this time I finally came to Tainan to pay homage!
Before coming, you definitely need to make a reservation, which can be done via email or LINE (phone reservations are not accepted!)
The business hours are Wednesday to Saturday at 10:00/11:00/12:00/13:00/14:00, with a dining time of 90 minutes, and each person has a minimum order of one set meal (one dessert + a drink). The desserts are limited, and once they are sold out, you will have to wait until the next time!

🌷 The shop is located in Anping. If you haven't had lunch yet, you might consider walking a few minutes to the nearby A-Cai Beef Soup for a meal~
The storefront here really makes your heart flutter, with a green French door and a pink building, surrounded by many white flowers, with the blue sky and white clouds; I could take a hundred pictures ☁️

Everyone must not think like we did, that the green door is the main entrance waiting idly for the grandpa to open it! You need to walk a few steps around the small alley to see the real entrance.

After ordering from grandpa, you can go to your seat and wait for a bit because we only saw grandpa and one lady the whole time, so they can't serve that fast~ As for payment, you pay after the meal; cash only.

First of all, I feel this place is not one of those overhyped shops without substance. You can tell that grandpa puts a lot of care into the desserts, with each flavor more stunning than its appearance, and the prices are really reasonable! I highly recommend coming with a few friends to order more dishes to share (I really regret not ordering everything 🤣 I'm still curious about the flavors of other dishes).

· I was surprised to find that this cake had a beautiful presentation when it was served >< It was decorated with various fruits, very rich, and the cake itself was moist with a perfect balance of sweet and bitter—great for afternoon tea with any drink.

𓌉𓇋 Italian Tiramisu $250
· Tiramisu is my love; the mascarpone flavor is very rich, with each layer infused with moist coffee liquid and just the right amount of alcohol aroma.

𓌉𓇋 French Crepe with Seasonal Fruits + Peanut Butter + Chocolate Caramel Sauce $390
· This is an additional order, mainly because it's not easy to see this at regular dessert shops; since we're here, we had to try it!
This dish is filled with fresh fruits, and the crepe itself is soft. Inside, it has half peanut butter and half chocolate sauce, but overall it’s not overly sweet.

· There must be something sour among the desserts to balance it out. I was already tempted when I saw it in the dessert cabinet. The Italian meringue on top has been torched, while the lemon tart itself is equally sweet and sour; I wanted another one after finishing it...

· Overall, I highly recommend the sparkling wine! Grandpa personally brought it to the table and filled the glass to the brim! It tastes very smooth and delicious, and this price is just too generous. I never expected that afternoon tea could include a little drink.

(Note: If you'd like to take a photo with grandpa during your meal, he is very friendly and obligingly agrees. Overall, this journey was perfect! 😍)
