This time we visited a roadside charcoal-grilled meat restaurant located in the alleys of Zhongxiao Xinsheng.
The number of tables is limited, so every time I pass by, I see several groups eating by the roadside.
The aroma wafts through the air, and I've always wanted to give it a try. 🥺🥺

This place is also quite popular!
I often see long lines, and without prior reservations, it seems difficult to get a table or you may have to wait quite a long time on-site. 🥺🥺
I suggest friends who want to try it make a reservation first! 🫠

On that day, I came with three other friends to give it a shot.
The first surprising thing was that it seems like the prices have gone up, with some added costs compared to what I initially saw. 😧

But there's nothing we can do; prices are soaring lately, so we just have to accept it quietly.
After all, it's not like we can't afford it! 😤😤

However, overall, I felt a little disappointed after the meal.

What we ordered that day:
Appetizer:
👉 Charcoal-grilled meat with pineapple

The grilled meat and pineapple indeed have the technique and flavor of charcoal cooking.
It's considered good, but the portion was a bit small.
After a few bites, I just felt I needed more!

But since it's only an appetizer, I could somewhat accept that there isn't enough meat.
Let's await the main course! 🥲

Main Course:
👉 Angus Prim 12 Days Dry-aged Ribeye with Roasted Vegetables 6oz

Overall, the dry-aged ribeye was indeed good.
The rest on the plate was accompanied by other roasted vegetables.

If I remember correctly, they included tomatoes, pineapple, and green vegetables.
That's pretty much the composition of this main course.

The dry-aged ribeye itself was alright, and with the sauce, it was tasty. 👌

But unfortunately, while fragrant, the flavor didn't particularly leave a lasting impression.

And perhaps because the portions were initially set to be small, I felt a bit unsatisfied after finishing.
6oz is certainly on the smaller side for a guy.

As for the other roasted vegetables, they were somewhat negligible to me.
After all, I was focusing on the meat.

So overall, I felt a bit empty after the meal.
Considering the price, it feels like the offerings were somewhat lacking (!? 🥺🥺🥺

Additionally, regarding the atmosphere,
it tends to be humid and hot while sitting outdoors in Taiwan in summer.
So even if you come at night in summer, you might still be sweating profusely.

Taipei's winter often sees rain, so sitting by the roadside could also be somewhat unfortunate.

Thus, the atmosphere isn't that great.
Plus, with the roadside lane right next to it, there’s a sense of conflict.
But perhaps this is the unique characteristic of this place!
To create a sense of enjoying charcoal-grilled steak by the roadside!

Overall, the food is not bad,
but considering the environment and the food combined, the price is too steep.
What a pity~

Maybe we could bring girls along to experience roadside charcoal-grilled steak.
Then this would definitely be a choice!
Even though there are other, better options given the food content and price. 😭

However, we’ve arrived near Zhongxiao Xinsheng,
perhaps just after shopping at Guanghua Market,
and passing by this restaurant,
once we smell the aroma of charcoal-grilled meat, it might still be worth a try!

Setting aside the cost-performance ratio,
the charcoal-grilled beef here is still worth a taste!

With the novelty of roadside barbecue experience,
and a few beers on the side,
Wow~ that’s so Taiwanese!
