"Li Xiaoguan" is a casual Taiwanese eatery that mainly serves fried rice, fried noodles, braised rice, and soups. It is located near Zhongshan Station, about a 7-minute walk from Exit 2.
The staff are very friendly and always wear smiles, which makes the atmosphere quite pleasant.
Today, I ordered shredded pork fried rice for $75 and ketchup fried rice for $80.
In addition to shredded pork, egg, and green onions, the fried rice also includes cabbage. The egg was cooked quite well, retaining its flavor, but the overall wok hei (breath of the wok) seemed a bit lacking. While it was decent, it didn't have that stunning taste that would make me want to keep coming back.
I chose the shredded pork fried rice with a little spice, but it was actually quite spicy. If you're not good with spice, it’s better not to add any.
The ketchup fried rice is essentially the shredded pork fried rice with tomato sauce added. It was also okay, not bad but just average.
If I visit again, I would like to try the fried instant noodles and spicy dumplings.
