Beard Zhang iPlus in Taipei is located in the middle section of Anju Street, near the Zhongxiao Xinsheng and Luting MRT stations. Anju Street, Leye Street, and Lane 228 of Heping East Road are known as the food haven for residents of this generation.
Today, I enjoyed a nostalgic braised pork rice set meal, priced at 175 NTD.
Nostalgic Braised Pork Rice Set Meal:
The braised pork rice has a rich sauce, with a solid and sticky texture, and the rice is well-cooked and has a great feel. The sautéed greens as a side dish are average, with a bit too much fiber, which affects the overall texture. The shredded bamboo shoots are crisp and sweet, truly worthy of being sold on their own. The pork knuckle is thick and juicy, which is the highlight of the nostalgic braised pork rice.
The broth of the meatball soup is aromatic, the radish is soft and absorbs the soup, and the meatballs have a good texture. Overall, the set meal is quite balanced.
In general, it is a stable-quality chain store with an excellent environment. Beard Zhang iPlus+ is an upgraded version featuring QR code ordering and self-service kiosks. In the most extreme case, you can enjoy your meal without leaving your seat to order or pay, making it very comfortable.
I highly recommend it to everyone.
