User review: There is a restroom across the street
The pig's trotter from the squid soup at No. 22, Keelung Temple Square, has always been on my must-eat list. Whenever I come to Keelung, I almost always have it at least once; I’ve been enjoying it for twenty years now. This time during the New Year, with the crowd being so overwhelming, I decided to simply take the pig's trotter meat home to avoid the hassle of waiting in line, and it was much quicker.
Their braised pork rice has consistently maintained its familiar taste; the sauce is a bit wet and slightly sweet, and the rice is well-separated without being too sticky, all for a friendly price of 25 NT dollars. The pig's trotter meat is tender and flavorful, with a slightly chewy skin, which becomes even more delicious when paired with the sauce. If you choose to dine in, you have to find your own seat; no one will assist you with seating. Essentially, you just keep an eye on which table is finishing up and wait behind them, which is pretty standard for a night market.
Closed all day from 1/18 to 2/2.
