The broth at Wu Family Noodle Shop is refreshing, with as many as 12 ingredients, creating a rich flavor, especially with the chewy noodles and braised pork rice. Although the rice is slightly wet, the overall taste is full of authentic traditional flavor.
The atmosphere at Keelung Temple Square is lively, attracting many diners. The turnover rate in restaurants is high, so there's usually no long wait, allowing people to feel the local vibrancy.
The staff is friendly, and although there may be a wait, the dining environment is smooth, allowing customers to quickly enjoy their meals.

The Keelung Temple Square during the 228 holiday is just terrifying 😱
Every store has long lines, but you still have to eat (laughs).
My favorite place at the temple square used to be Xingji's iron edge rice, but unfortunately, the owner closed it due to health reasons.
So this time, I decided to try Wu's iron edge rice.
This store is also located in the temple square plaza.
I saw a lot of people lining up for both dine-in and takeout.
In the end, I decided to buy it back to the guesthouse to eat.
A bowl of iron edge rice costs 65 NTD and has a light flavor.
If you eat it there, you can add chili powder.
I heard there are 12 ingredients in it (golden needle mushrooms, cabbage, meat thick soup, golden shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, iron edge rice, shrimp thick soup, dried small fish, bamboo shoots, garlic bits, celery beads, squid), but since we were sharing between two people, it seems some were not eaten.
However, on this cool day, having a bowl still warms the stomach.
In summary,
no matter what, you have to come and eat a bowl of iron edge rice.
That way, you can say you've been to Keelung Temple Square.

Qingbianjie is a must-try delicacy at the entrance of Keelung Temple. It is located right in front of the entrance of the temple. There used to be two restaurants, "Wu Jia" and "Xing Ji". However, the third generation owner of the latter has temporarily closed due to health reasons. It is unknown whether it will continue to operate. Reopening.
Therefore, if you want to experience the taste of Keelung Miaokou, Wu Jiacheng Bianjie is currently the only place to go. There is often a queue, but due to the high table turnover rate for dine-in restaurants, you usually don’t have to wait for a long time.
Food writer Jiao Tong once described: "Wu" Ji's soup is slightly inferior, with more shredded squid and dried fish than "Xing" Ji's. In my taste, Wu Kee's soup is refreshing, and its 12 ingredients are its strength, giving each spoonful a different texture.
According to the ingredients package: scallops, meat soup, shrimp soup, squid, dried fish, golden shrimps, day needles, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, garlic crisps, plus cabbage and celery beads, just like its rich taste!
"薖" is a highly elastic rice cake roll, reflecting the small amount of starch in this snack. Although it is the main name of the food, it is not enough to satisfy the hunger, so I ordered a bowl of Lu Pork Rice. I have long heard that people in Miaokou, Keelung, are proud of their pork rice. The marinade is moist and has a sweet sauce. But as a non-stirring pie, the rice is a bit soft and soggy, which is not my style.
