Overall Review: 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
Dickson's Fooday mouth-watering food review is here again!
This time I’m introducing an Italian pasta restaurant that just opened not long ago.
What’s special about this restaurant is that you cannot make reservations at all, so you have to pick the right time to queue outside! Of course, because it’s quite popular with customers, you will have to wait a while before getting seated.
When you arrive, you can register for a spot, and then wait either at the entrance or outside. Since it’s summer and the weather is very hot, waiting outside can be quite uncomfortable 🥺🥺.
I do hope the restaurant can provide reservation services soon, or else this aspect really takes away some points!
From the restaurant's sign and introduction, it’s obvious that this place specializes in Italian pasta. Depending on different times and special events, there are sometimes unique menu options available, with different flavors of pasta to choose from.
Once seated and after ordering, the restaurant will provide some soup to start, mainly a broth that accompanies the pasta.
The pasta here has quite a distinctive taste, and they use an open kitchen concept for cooking. However, I feel that open kitchens may not always be a good idea. For example, on the day I visited, the weather was extremely hot, and since the kitchen is open, even though the air conditioning was on, the overall temperature in the restaurant was quite high, making it not very comfortable for dining.
In terms of the dishes, I personally found the pasta to be quite good, with its unique flavors. That day, because there were special pasta flavors available, we got to try a unique dish that was very impressive, featuring a highly distinctive taste!
In addition, the restaurant's menu is also very unique. The pasta items are not given special names but are listed with the ingredients directly, allowing customers to choose without any elaborate names creating a menu. This is a rather special aspect!
I believe that for those who really love pasta and enjoy trying various innovative flavors, this place is a must-visit. While the menu may not be extensive, I feel that each option has its own distinct character!

⭐️ Food:
As mentioned before, they start with a soup. On that day, I had a seafood shrimp broth that was quite rich in shrimp flavor—it was incredibly refreshing!
We ordered two pasta dishes:
👉 Mussels, Clams, and Shrimp Pasta $370:
This is quite a basic seafood pasta option. The seafood was very generous in portion, including mussels, clams, and shrimp, all in sufficient quantities. The taste was above average, nicely balanced and traditional.
👉 Beef, Preserved Mustard Greens, and Spiced Breadcrumbs Pasta $320:
This dish was one of the special limited-time offerings. What’s distinctive here is that it uses preserved mustard greens. You rarely find pasta made with preserved mustard greens elsewhere, giving it a very authentic Taiwanese taste. The tangy-sweetness of the mustard greens paired with the beef topped with plenty of seasoned bread crumbs looked a bit odd at first—unlike traditional pasta with red or green sauces; it somewhat resembled a Chinese dish!🤣🤣🤣
However, this pasta dish was truly astonishing. I’ve never had such a flavor before, so it was quite a shock! Overall, the combination of flavors is very creative and delicious. I think friends who are very interested in pasta must try this unique dish; such flavors are rarely found elsewhere!
👉 Pesto Squid $230:
I personally found the squid portion not as impressive. Overall, it was still quite good, with the squid being fried and paired with the pesto sauce. However, perhaps because it was fried, it wasn’t as refreshing.
⭐️ Drinks:
👉 Classic Tropical Iced Tea $60:
I must say, this iced tea is extremely good! Especially since it’s summer and very hot outside, having this when entering the restaurant was extremely refreshing. Its sweetness isn't very high, just a light sweet tea taste. Maybe it's because of the heat outside that it tasted especially refreshing!🤣🤣🤣
⭐️ Atmosphere:
As mentioned earlier, the restaurant does not accept reservations right now, so after registering, you must wait outside for a table. Because it’s very hot outside in summer and there are many people waiting on weekends, waiting outside can be quite painful. This part scores down the atmosphere significantly, as you have to stand in the sun for a long time before being seated.
I hope the restaurant can open up reservations soon so that people at least know when to come for meals!
Additionally, the restaurant’s space is quite small, with about four to five tables, and the remaining space is a bar area next to the open kitchen. Therefore, the restaurant can accommodate around 30 people. Since the space is limited, seating can be quite cramped, making it feel lively and loud at times.
Moreover, sitting next to the open kitchen means you can feel the heat from the kitchen. Since it was summer and possibly due to insufficient air conditioning, guests sitting near the kitchen felt hotter, which detracted from the dining experience!
⭐️ Service:
I didn’t have a very distinctive impression of the service that day, but the staff was very attentive, introducing each pasta dish when ordering. However, due to the large number of customers, you could sense the staff was quite busy as well.
⭐️ Price:
For a typical Italian pasta restaurant in Taipei, I found the prices to be reasonable, with most dishes around $300. Considering the quality of the food, I think the price is quite acceptable.
⭐️ Location:
The restaurant is somewhat distanced from the Nanjing Fuxing MRT station, so if you’re coming by MRT or bus, it’s about a 10-minute walk to reach it. It’s not too remote, especially in terms of public transportation.
⭐️ Overall Thoughts:
In summary, I think this is a very good pasta restaurant in terms of food, with special menu options based on different periods. From the restaurant's perspective, it’s very creative, offering a variety of unique flavors for pasta lovers to enjoy.
So if you are a pasta lover looking to explore some unusual flavors, I highly recommend giving this place a try. However, as I mentioned earlier, due to the lack of reservations and large crowds on weekends, be prepared to allocate some waiting time if you plan to eat here!
