The Green House Snack Shop in Taitung is a local restaurant that follows the Taiwanese communal dining style, offering a wide variety of dishes that are perfect for group gatherings or family meals. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is simple and lively, without excessive decoration, yet it allows diners to feel the rhythm of dining that comes with the accumulation of years and the loyal customers.

This time, we ordered several signature dishes and stir-fried items, including goose meat, clay pot fish head, stir-fried kale, stir-fried pork liver, and three-cup squid. The table was well-stocked with food. The most impressive dish was undoubtedly the goose meat platter. The goose is cut neatly, with tender meat that has a distinctly fresh and sweet taste, completely free of any fishy smell. The fat between the skin and meat is perfectly balanced, making it flavorful even on its own; it is the most eye-catching and highly recommended dish of the meal.

The clay pot fish head had a traditional Taiwanese flavor, with a rich broth that is not too heavy, and it was full of ingredients, making it suitable for sharing among several people. The stir-fried kale was cooked well to maintain its crispness and the natural sweetness of the vegetables. The stir-fried pork liver was soft and tender, not overcooked, with a homestyle seasoning. The three-cup squid had a strong aroma, and the squid had a reasonable elasticity, making it a stable and appetizing dish.

Overall, the dishes at the Green House Snack Shop are above average and have a solid style, with the goose meat platter standing out in particular, leaving a lingering impression long after the meal.
