The salty ice pops are the signature of this shop, featuring a unique and wonderful combination of salted egg yolk, milk, and almonds that is hard to forget.
This old-fashioned ice shop is located on the bustling Zhengqi Road in Taitung. It has plenty of seating both inside and outside, and the atmosphere is nostalgic and comfortable, making you feel as if time has turned back.
The service is acceptable, but there is a smell of fermented fruit peels inside the store. It is recommended to sit outside in a ventilated area to enjoy the cold treats.
🍧 Taitung City ▫️ Around the Night Market
🍧 A long-established ice shop with over 50 years of history
How long can the taste of memories linger❔
At least I’ve remembered the flavor since I had it 10 years ago
I still remember the amazement when I first tasted the salty ice pop
Made with salted egg yolk 🥚, milk 🥛, and almonds 🌰,
It burst with a wonderful flavor that was absolutely unimaginable.
This old-fashioned ice shop is located on the most bustling Zhengqi Road in Taitung,
And even former President Tsai Ing-wen has been a customer (there's a sign outside).
There are plenty of seats both inside and outside the shop,
But I wonder if it’s because the typhoon just passed 🌀,
This trip—despite being a holiday—was completely empty 🥹.
Due to the noticeable fermented fruit skin scent inside the shop,
We chose to sit outside where it was breezy.
Biting into a super affordable ice pop costing only 20 NT dollars,
It felt as if time froze in that moment 🤍.
I initially wanted to buy an entire styrofoam cooler like 10 years ago and send it home,
But then I thought, sometimes having it infrequently
Might actually make it taste even better.
So I decided to consider this as one of the reasons to revisit Taitung next time ✨.
❤️ Memories from childhood~ I absolutely cannot miss his salty popsicle; I haven't found another place in Taiwan that offers the same popsicle.
Each post will have actual dining photos, even if it’s just a photo of a drink, to avoid some users posting without meal pictures to pretend they’ve dined there.

📍 Located on the busy Zhengqi Road, there are plenty of seats for dining in, and restrooms are also available.
🚗 If driving, I recommend parking in the temporary parking spaces on Nanjing Road; there are plenty of spots available.
🏍️ For scooters, I see that everyone is temporarily parking right in front of the store.
💬 I remember when I was little, being treated to this salty popsicle; taking a bite felt like a revelation, so every time I go to Taitung, I have to get one. However, it seems I haven't found similar popsicles elsewhere...(I hope someone can tell me where I can find similar popsicles).
Although the store always gives a bit of a less-than-clean feeling, I think it’s fine coming back from Hong Kong; it’s quite clean (huh?).
The ice shop has plenty of seating, but it’s still bustling with people, especially on weekends when it’s truly crowded. However, I only order popsicles or drinks, so the number of people inside does not bother me (laughs).
