This scone shop has been recommended by others, and I heard it’s the kind of place that you would want to visit specifically to buy. I’ve been keeping it in mind for a while, and this time I happened to be nearby, so I decided to grab some. There are seats for dining in, but since I was just taking out, I didn’t go into the seating area. There are nearly 10 flavors available, and there’s a menu for the week outside for reference.
I heard from others that the take-out and dine-in prices differ a bit, but if you get take-out to eat there, they will heat it up for you and add fresh cream at no extra charge. I originally planned to just buy one to eat on-site, but I ended up picking one to eat there and taking two home.
▪️ Hojicha Pearl Scone $65
I selected this one to eat there. The heated scone served with fresh cream was just right. The fresh cream balanced out the scone's somewhat dry texture, and it was very light with a subtle milky aroma. Paired with the hojicha, I think it’s perfect!! The hojicha flavor was quite strong, and I really liked the overall combination.
▪️ Salted Toffee Scone $60
▪️ Grapefruit Oolong Scone $65
These two were taken home to heat up. Without the fresh cream, the overall taste was quite dense and a bit dry, but I personally have a high tolerance for dry foods.
The salted toffee scone had a thin layer of toffee sauce on top, which was quite delicious without being overly sweet; the grapefruit oolong had the appearance of grapefruit peel (I originally mistakenly thought it was orange peel), and the combination of oolong and grapefruit was not bad at all.
Overall, I think it’s a tasty scone shop! If you have a little time to eat, I recommend dining in or eating on-site; I believe it’s even better paired with their fresh cream. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy the popular original taro flavor because I was worried it’d spoil quickly. If I get the chance, I would be willing to try other flavors.
🔺 It is recommended to finish eating on-site within 15 minutes.
🔺 Scone storage methods: At room temperature for two days, refrigerated for three days, frozen for three weeks.
