The chicken rice restaurant has very special hours, open from four in the afternoon until midnight, so basically you can't eat there if you're heading back to the north that day. Since I had a longer time this visit, I immediately took it off my list.
I heard they have a good business, so I thought I shouldn't go too late. When I arrived around five o'clock, there was already a long line. They have separate queues for dining in and takeout, and thankfully we only waited about 15 minutes before it was our turn.
The place is just a typical snack shop, and it was crowded, so we had to share a table. They have a restroom available, which was quite thoughtful, and the staff's attitude was decent.
I ordered the turkey rice. I've only had turkey rice at other places before, so this was my first time trying turkey slice rice. The portion felt generous, and it wasn't dry; it had the fragrance of chicken fat. However, I personally felt the flavor was a bit on the mild side. Later, I remembered seeing online that others add an egg, so I ordered one. After adding a soft-boiled egg, it definitely improved the dish.
My friend ordered miso soup, which wasn't the typical Japanese kind I remember. It had a sweeter taste, and it was my first time trying this type; I found it quite special. I thought it was pretty good, and there was tofu in it, which made the soup more impressive than the chicken rice.
