[Four stars: Overall highly recommended, will come back again]
One of the must-eat beef soups in Tainan. This place has the richest and most impressive soup base among the beef soups I've tried so far.
It is alongside the famous eel noodle soup next door, so don't confuse the location!
This time we visited the most traditional storefront, which really feels local. There’s another branch located in Anping, where the decor is completely different - it’s basically an Instagram-worthy spot!
I’m so envious of the Tainan locals who can have beef soup as a late-night snack. I finally understand why my friends used to ride their bikes across cities just to have a bowl of beef soup back in school.

This place actually has different varieties: premium, marbled, and superior. The beef is freshly slaughtered and cut on the same day.
We ordered a small bowl of superior beef soup ($120) and marbled beef soup ($170).
The quality of the meat in both bowls is chewier compared to others. Between the superior and marbled beef, the marbled one is a bit more tender, so it depends on personal preference!
The beef soup has a very rich flavor, evident from its glossy sheen, and drinking it doesn’t feel greasy; it leaves you feeling warm and very satisfied.
Even after we finished our meal and walked back to the hotel, the aroma of the beef soup continued to linger in our mouths. I really want to walk back for another bowl… Overall, I think the soup base is the highlight! ✨

I’ve heard that foodies must try the garlic beef, but I didn’t do enough homework this time. I must try it next time!
