Taipei Neihu - A serving of authentic Taiwanese cold noodles, paired with a bowl of miso soup, complemented by the warm hospitality of the owner and his wife, truly embodies the essence of Taiwanese friendliness.

📍 Cold Noodles (Small) NT$40
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
The cold noodles come in three sizes: small for NT$40, large for NT$50, and extra large for NT$60. This time I ordered the small size, which allows you to choose whether to add chili. You can also customize it! I chose extra garlic and extra sesame sauce!

The base of the noodles is that kind of Taiwanese yellow wheat noodle, with a rather average texture, topped with shredded cucumber for a crisp bite. If you don't customize, the sauce will be a bit watery and easier to mix; however, I personally prefer the rich sesame sauce clinging to the noodles, which makes it very enjoyable XD.

📍 Miso Egg Drop Soup NT$45
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
I really love their miso soup! It has dried fish and tofu! You add an egg, pour the hot soup over it, and it becomes very smooth to drink! The only downside is I don't like the egg whites to be raw; if the temperature isn't high enough, you might end up with uncooked egg whites, so it would be good to ask for slightly more cooked eggs!

▶️ Helpful Reminders
🔹 Find a seat right away for dining in, and order directly from the owner without needing to write an order.
🔹 Pay by cash after eating!
🔹 If you don’t want it spicy, make sure to tell the owner!
🔹 Various customizations are available, such as adding mustard, more sesame sauce, extra garlic, or leaving out garlic, sesame sauce, cucumber, or even adding extra cucumber (for an additional charge).

▶️ Environment
🔹 The dining area is decent, with 4-5 four-person tables, and partitions in the middle can be used to create single seating.
🔹 The decor style is very Taiwanese.
🔹 The tables are spaced apart, making it comfortable and not cramped.
🔹 It's a semi-open space with air conditioning.
🔹 Utensils and napkins are self-served.

▶️ Overall Rating
🔹 This place starts serving at 6:30 AM and is a local option for breakfast. A simple meal of cold noodles, occasionally paired with a bowl of meatball egg drop soup, can be very satisfying! The only small downside I find is the limited choice of toppings like shredded chicken, etc. XD In short, it’s very straightforward! However, what I love most is the way the owner and his wife treat their customers; they remember people, greet warmly, and chat! They handle customers who aren’t very nice with ease! Ultimately, local diners come here for the warmth of human connection!
