Overall Review: 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
Dixon’s Foodie Review #255

This time, I’m reviewing a BBQ restaurant located within the Farglory Mall in Xizhi. This is a chain of affordable BBQ restaurants, and I personally feel that, overall, it offers good value for the price.

The quality of the meat is quite good, and the set meals are very generous in portion. Two double set meals might be too much for four people to finish. Although most of the time you grill the meat yourself, the staff is very considerate and will help you with more challenging ingredients.

They also explain beforehand whether the portions might be too much when ordering and recommend grilling methods and ways to enjoy special ingredients.

I find the food to be quite standard and slightly above average in quality. Many types of meat are of decent quality, and there is a wide variety of BBQ ingredients. In addition to the usual BBQ, there are many diverse set meals like beef noodle soup and more.

So it’s up to you to decide what you’d like to pair with the BBQ when you’re here.

Since this branch is located across from an office building in Xizhi, it's not very crowded during weekday lunchtimes or dinner times. However, weekends might be different, as many residents from Xizhi and Keelung visit this mall. If you want to dine here on the weekends, I recommend booking online in advance.

After all, they offer online reservations, so you won't have to come and find a long queue.

I personally think the quality of Wang Pin (the brand) is guaranteed, so the quality and flavor are consistently delivered. For friends looking for affordable BBQ but don’t know where to go, I would recommend trying this place!

⭐️ Food Section
As there were five or six of us dining, we started with two set meals as the basic order and then considered additional orders.

👉 Australian Wagyu Set for Two $2598
Most items in the Australian Wagyu Set are Australian Wagyu, mainly consisting of cuts like chuck, ribeye cap, and belly, along with other parts like diaphragm. The whole set focuses on Wagyu.

👉 Angus Beef Set for Three $2698
The Angus Beef Set is not limited to Australian Wagyu, but most cuts are from the same parts mentioned above.

I find the quality of the Wagyu and beef sets here quite good. Compared to some BBQ restaurants in alleyways, the presentation is better, and the quality of the meat is decent. Overall, I find it quite satisfactory!

The portion size of the meat in their set meals is also very generous. If you are coming with a group that doesn’t eat a lot, you might consider ordering fewer sets.

Additionally, there are other side dishes you can add. Each set comes with dessert per person, with options like red bean soup, panna cotta, or ice cream. I find the desserts standard but refreshing after the meal.

Before starting to grill the BBQ, the restaurant serves a pot of hot soup, which I think is chicken or pork soup. I personally find the soup excellent as it is warm and appetite-whetting!

And if you finish it, you can request more. Also, a platter of appetizers is provided before you start, and you can replenish these endlessly, which is a great deal!

Overall, I think the food section performed quite well. For a BBQ restaurant in this price range, it offers great value!

⭐️ Drinks Section
You can customize your drink choice in the set meal, mostly soda or fruit ice tea. Although not outstanding, they complement the BBQ well as palate cleansers.

⭐️ Atmosphere Section
The interior space is quite spacious, and the distance between tables is large enough. Therefore, the dining experience feels refreshingly pleasant, and the space is organized very cleanly. The lighting is also bright, giving a very clean and tidy BBQ dining feel.

Because there aren’t many people during weekday lunch times, the restaurant might only have three or four groups of diners, allowing a leisurely dining experience.

Moreover, when you’re done with BBQ and ready for dessert, the staff will guide you to another seating area for dessert. Although it’s unclear why you need to move to another area for dessert, given the large space, it’s okay. 😂😂😂

⭐️ Service Section
The staff is very proactive in refilling water and soup and changing the grill net, possibly because there weren’t many customers that day, allowing them to focus on serving us.

Additionally, some meat portions are larger, making grilling a bit challenging. The staff graciously helped us grill these more difficult meats and offered additional consumption suggestions, making the service thoughtful!

⭐️ Price Section
If you order in sets, even if you choose the top Wagyu set, it only costs about $1300 per person, making it a relatively affordable BBQ restaurant.

Of course, if you feel it isn’t enough, there are other a la carte options. But as I mentioned earlier, each set meal here is quite abundant. For an average adult male, I think a set for two is more than sufficient!

Regarding price, I believe it’s quite reasonable and offers high value for money, with a very good cost-performance ratio!

⭐️ In Conclusion
I think this BBQ restaurant is a safe choice. If you want BBQ but don’t want to risk a bad meal, these chain BBQ restaurants are a good option because their quality is stable and up to a certain standard. While there’s nothing particularly surprising or stunning, the quality is stable, and it tastes good!

I find it very suitable for corporate gatherings, family gatherings, or casual meals among friends. The restaurant is very accommodating for these occasions.

However, if you’re aiming for a romantic date, I’d suggest choosing a place with better ambiance and more special offerings! 😂😂😂😂
