Whenever I want to eat braised pork rice, I always come to "Dadaocheng Braised Pork Rice" near Taipei Station. There is always a long queue during lunchtime, but the dine-in crowd clears out quickly. The dine-in area has expanded quite a bit with the number of diners! We were seated at a combined table in the area diagonally across, and the space was just right with the air conditioning being cool!
Today, I ordered a small bowl of braised pork rice with a soft-boiled egg for 55 NTD, fried tofu for 20 NTD, and steamed vegetables for 45 NTD. The taste of the braised pork mixed with the soft-boiled egg, with the rich sauce melting into the rice, is truly unforgettable!
