Taipei Zhongshan District - When the weather gets cooler, it's time for hot pot! This Cantonese-style pig stomach and chicken hot pot is a top choice! I've eaten here many times! This time, we ordered two types of soup base:

  1. Pepper pig stomach chicken hot pot 2. Pickled vegetable and pork hot pot
    🔹 The pepper flavor in the pepper pig stomach chicken soup is very strong; drinking it straight can be too spicy! I recommend asking the staff to dilute it with some plain broth. The soup base has the basics: pig stomach and chicken thigh pieces, which are already cooked.
    🔹 The pickled vegetable and pork hot pot soup base is average; the pickled vegetable flavor is decent, but the soup tastes rather ordinary. The soup base has some slices of pork, but not much.

Recommended hot pot ingredients:
🔹 Water lily: a large plate, very crisp; when cooked in the pepper pig stomach chicken pot, it is very flavorful and delicious!
🔹 Signature handmade egg dumplings: highly recommend this egg dumpling! It is quite large and substantial, and you can taste the subtle aroma of the egg skin!
🔹 Taro balls: you can taste the fragrance of taro pieces, which I really like as a taro lover!
🔹 Tofu skin: has a slightly smoky flavor.

Recommended individual dishes:
🔹 Huadiao claypot rice: I personally like this one; the flavor is rich and aromatic! It pairs very well with the hot pot.
🔹 Preserved meat claypot rice: this one is a classic must-order, with various sliced sausages stir-fried in!

▶️ Environment
🔹 The indoor space is quite large, but the six of us cramped at a four-person table was a bit tight (one pot).
🔹 The decor is bright with clean, simple lighting!
🔹 Utensils and sauces are already on the table; there is no self-service sauce area.
▶️ Overall evaluation
🔹 This hot pot restaurant is very popular when the weather gets cold; it’s recommended to call ahead for reservations. You must order the pepper pig stomach chicken soup base!
