Because of the new UG opening event and coupon, I've been drinking UG a lot lately 😂
I decided to try a different branch today, hoping I wouldn't have to wait as long, but I was too naive. This store's wait times given by staff are very broad, and there's no screen to check the current number being served. In this regard, the Nanyang store is much better!
"UG Zhongxiao Dunhua Store" is located near Zhongxiao Dunhua Station, just a 2-minute walk from Exit 1.
As I approached the entrance, I was briefly happy to see no one waiting, but inside was packed. However, at least waiting to order and pick up was cooler inside (though waiting for an hour is still a bit...).
P.S. There's a small alley next to this branch with a few small tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your drink or take photos for social media.
I usually get the Three Aroma Fifteen Jasmine UG Milk Tea, but this time I decided to try the Three Aroma Fifteen Jasmine Pure Tea as well.
Three Aroma Fifteen Jasmine (large) $45
Indeed, as everyone praises, even the sugar-free version doesn't taste astringent. However, just judging by this pure tea, I feel like it's overrated. It tastes like a somewhat bland jasmine green tea, with a pretty average aroma. It might be better with a bit of sugar. Personally, I don't think it's worth $45.
Three Aroma Fifteen Jasmine UG Milk Tea (medium) $65
The milk tea is as delicious as always. Even without sugar, you can taste the rich milk creaminess and a subtle, elegant floral scent. I've decided to stick with milk tea in the future.
I give the Three Aroma Fifteen Jasmine UG Milk Tea 4 stars, but the Three Aroma Fifteen Jasmine Pure Tea only 2 stars due to the high price, so overall it gets about 3 stars. If I don't have to wait so long next time, I’d be willing to buy the milk tea again.
