One of the most famous stone hot pot restaurants in Taipei, located near Xingtian Temple, is very convenient in terms of transportation, and the business is booming. If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait in line.
I think their biggest feature is that the prices are really very cheap, but the quality of their ingredients does not feel cheap because of the low prices; instead, it feels like exceptional value for money.
Their billing method is the number of people * amount + buffet price. Each person can choose one type of meat, and then they will start by stir-frying squid and meat, followed by vegetables, and finally add the broth and begin cooking the hot pot ingredients (though the broth will become saltier the longer it cooks, so be a bit careful!).
After being stir-fried, the broth tastes very fragrant, and the meat doesn’t have the bland texture of just being boiled.
As for the sauces, the restaurant also offers many different condiments to choose from, even ground peanuts! This gives you more options for the sauce.
The prices for the self-service vegetables and hot pot ingredients are very reasonable, and there is a wide variety to choose from, so you basically don't need to think much about the price when taking them. Highly recommended!
