🔺Last day of business on 2025.3.20, looking for a new location, ingredients depend on the day's conditions.
🔺It is recommended to make a reservation in advance / If dining on the same day, please call to inquire.
This restaurant has been on my mind for a while, and I finally managed to drag my friend out! I didn't expect to find out through their official Instagram that they will only be open until 3/20 before I even finished writing my review 🥲 I immediately made another reservation for the next visit! Below are the dishes from my first dining experience.
▪️ Crispy Fried Squid with Honey Mustard $260
I thought I would eat squid less often, but it is very tender and not hard to chew, fried to a crisp, and tastes good whether you dip it in sauce or not!
▪️ Black Truffle Cheese Mushroom Risotto $350
The portion is quite generous, and the cream combined with cheese has a strong flavor. The truffle taste is not too light, and the distinct taste of the mushrooms, different from truffles, comes through. The overall flavor is well-balanced; the rice is not hard and has an acceptable texture, but after a while, it can get a bit rich, so it is better to mix it with something else.
▪️ Spicy Garlic Anchovy and Pork Pasta $350
The server said it's mildly spicy, but as someone who usually eats mild spice, I found it a bit hot! It definitely has a kick, but the garlic flavor is fragrant, and there’s plenty of pork that is cut to just the right thickness, making it very tender. Although it is a bit spicier, it pairs well with the risotto for alternating bites.
▪️ Casual Tiramisu $150
This is a proper tiramisu with ladyfinger biscuits! Recently, many places use other materials for the base, but I think the ladyfingers could have been a little more moist. However, it doesn’t affect the flavor much; the alcohol flavor is not too strong, and I quite like it.
Overall, I really like this restaurant! It's comfortable and simple. Although the food isn't breathtaking, the presentation is very beautiful (my focus is a bit strange), and you can feel the attention to detail, like how our main courses were served at the same time, which I thought was thoughtful. Essentially, the front of the house operates with one person, but because it's reservation-based, it doesn’t feel chaotic.
I’ve already booked another visit before they close, and I hope their new location isn't too far away!
