📍 This delicious chicken rice series is located in a small alley beside Zhongshan Station on Chifeng Street. Unlike the typical black-and-white sign series, there are some variations in the menu, but the taste and side dishes are about 87% similar.
🍽️ Environment
After ordering at the counter, you take a number and need to pick up your food and clean up afterward. The restaurant can accommodate about 30-40 people, and the spacing between tables is quite sufficient, so it isn't crowded. The air conditioning is decent.

▪️ Hainan Chicken Rice $130
I specifically ordered a basic item other than their famous chicken rice. According to the description, it uses Thai fragrant rice and a unique Thai-style sour and spicy sauce. I'm not sure if it's because I sat very close to the counter, but a staff member brought the food directly to me, which didn't happen for the customers who came after me.
The appearance and texture of the rice didn’t seem to show any characteristics of Thai rice, and there wasn’t much of it. The chicken tastes similar to the typical delicious chicken rice served at other places with black-and-white signs. The unique Thai sauce had a noticeable sourness, but I didn't sense much spiciness. The side dishes were salty enough.
😃
Overall, this is a place you can come to when there’s nothing else nearby or when you don't want to wait in line. It feels like the difference between delicious chicken rice and Hainan chicken rice is mainly presented through the different sauces, and the experience was a bit different from what I expected for Hainan chicken rice. 😅
