# Open during the Lunar New Year

From January 24 to January 28, 2025, the store will be closed for five days. Starting from January 29, the first day of the Lunar New Year, we will resume normal business hours. I dined here on the third day of the Lunar New Year.

"Wang Shui Cheng Stinky Tofu" is a place I often order from with my colleagues, and it is one of the more unique stinky tofu spots on Shenkeng Old Street. This time, I decided to buy directly at the store and was amazed by the amount of stock they had prepared for the New Year. It felt like they were ready to welcome a large number of tourists coming to pay their respects.

Their stinky tofu is known for being juicy, and indeed, when you bite into it, broth spills out. The inside is tender, and the fermented flavor is just right—not too strong. It carries a bit of a stinky aroma, but it’s not overwhelming. Personally, my favorite flavors are garlic and spicy. The garlic has a strong fragrance, while the spicy flavor has a mild heat to it, not too spicy.

However, their prices are quite high. A package costs 160 TWD and only contains four pieces of stinky tofu. While the pieces are not small, it still feels a bit expensive.

Additionally, I ordered their large intestine and duck blood this time, but was somewhat disappointed. The soup base was supposed to be spicy, but the amount of large intestine was ridiculously small, making it seem like the duck blood was the main attraction.

In conclusion, the stinky tofu is indeed delicious—juicy and flavorful—but the price is on the high side, and the value of other dishes is subjective.
