This place, Coppii Lumii Living Coffee, is quite popular at the Changzhong branch. It's not an exaggeration to say it's crowded and noisy, but the food is decent, which explains the good business.
This time, I ordered the "Picnic Basket" Big Breakfast for $288 (including a drink), and I came specifically for the grilled sweet grapefruit. It was really delicious—sweet, sour, and a bit charred, and I wanted to order a whole one after finishing it. The yogurt served is the tangy kind, so if you're sensitive to sour flavors, I recommend choosing a different combination.
In terms of value for money, this is much more worthwhile than the Small Breakfast at Morning Joy. The prices are roughly the same, but the portion here is double, making it great for when you're really hungry. You can also upgrade your drink; I chose the "Happy Reader" for an extra $108. The juice was tasty, and the carrot flavor wasn't too strong.
The pancakes are a highlight; we ordered the Cinnamon Thick Pancake (not a cinnamon roll). The outer layer is coated with sugar, and the texture is solid. Once you drizzle on the rich cinnamon sauce, the aroma is abundant—it's quite sweet but not overwhelming; ant lovers will enjoy it.
The Cinnamon Sugar Snail Roll for $108 is a dessert and one of their signatures. It's fragrant with cinnamon, pairs perfectly with cream, but it’s really sweet, so I recommend sharing it among several people.
The Onion Beef Salad (Caesar dressing) for $298 has a generous portion, though the beef was just average. The Black Truffle Golden Crispy Potatoes for $138 are crispy when fried, but the truffle flavor is a bit weak, leaving something to be desired.
Overall, this place offers a sincere brunch that is quite good for Taipei, with reasonable prices and substantial portions. The fact that there's no time limit in the environment is a big plus. However, it can get very crowded on weekends, so I suggest sending someone to take a number and then strolling around nearby. They call out numbers in batches based on the number of people. The turnover rate is fairly quick, but during peak meal times, you might still have to wait about half an hour.
