I happened upon a hidden gourmet restaurant by accident. I originally planned to try the Korean restaurant next door, but because it was full, I saw that "Jiuju Kitchen" had no customers at all. I was really hungry, so I decided to take a risk. Facts have proved that this risk was the right one!

Located near Shuanglian Station, about a 4-minute walk from Exit 2. It is located in an alley, but the signboard is quite conspicuous, so it is easy to find.

The boss greeted us kindly as soon as we entered the door and introduced the meals to us. The main menus were written on the blackboard. There were many items, including home-cooked meals, pasta, stewed rice, steak meals, soups, fresh vegetables, Fried food, etc., and even if you want a dessert after you’re full,

The meals are all cooked to order, so I had to wait about 15 minutes for the meal to be served after ordering. However, because the environment in the store is very warm and there is soft piano music playing, it makes people feel very comfortable and the wait is not so difficult.

Pasta with tomato meat sauce $240
The portion is quite sufficient. In addition to the tomato meat sauce, there is also some zucchini and bell pepper. Personally, I think the taste is average and delicious, but it is the taste of tomato meat sauce.
I wanted to eat spicy food but I didn’t know how hot the peppers were, so when the boss asked how many peppers I wanted, he only said one. It turned out that it was not spicy at all. I will ask the boss to put more peppers next time I return.

Pan-fried chicken legs with Shaoxing white sauce home-cooked rice $260
Recommended for those who like creamy white sauce to order this dish! When I took my mouthful of Shaoxing white sauce, I was really surprised. It has such a rich buttery aroma and not too strong of a wine flavor. It is delicious whether served with rice or dipped in chicken drumsticks! (However, it will be a little greasy at the end of the meal. After all, it is white sauce. With a little orange water, you can continue to enjoy the rice.)
The fried chicken leg steak is a big piece, and the meat is very tender~~~Although there is a little oil, it does not affect the taste at all.
Today’s side dishes are mashed potatoes, komatons and green peppers. The seasonings are all delicious, especially the mashed potatoes. I ate them all in no time~

Overall, I thought the pasta was average, but the fried chicken drumsticks with Shaoxing white sauce home-cooked rice were amazing! I don’t understand why there are so few customers for dinner on weekdays with such a delicious meal~ If you are passing by nearby, I recommend you to try it!
