Chicken Soup Wing is my favorite chicken noodle soup restaurant in Taipei. This is my second visit.
"Chicken Soup Wing" is located near Mackay Hospital, about a 9-minute walk from Exit 2 of Shuanglian Station.
The first time I visited, I arrived 5 minutes before the store opened, so there was no queue. This time I arrived around 9 pm on Saturday, and it was fully booked. There were 4 groups of customers waiting in front of us, so we waited. You will be seated in about 20 minutes. If you come during dinner time, you may have to wait longer.
Laohuo peeled chili yam chicken noodle soup $200
The chicken soup is very thick and delicious, and is almost not spicy. Anyone who can't tolerate spicy food can still eat it. The noodles are hand-cut and the hardness is just right. The chicken legs are boneless and very tender, but I personally think it has a slightly chicken flavor.
Overall, it’s a bowl of chicken noodle soup that I’m willing to repurchase
Chicken oil rice $22
The chicken sauce and soy sauce were a bit too little, and a large part of the rice didn't get into it, so it tasted a bit dry and not flavorful enough. It's a pity. I might order chicken noodle soup in the future.
Cabbage stir-fried with chicken fat $40
The cabbage is cooked just right, not too hard but still crispy, and does not smell like lettuce. It is paired with chicken fat and crispy shallots. It is flavorful but not too salty. The portion is also large. The price is quite cost-effective.
We ordered all three fried foods, including: Private House fried chicken wings $120, three-shredded spring rolls with Private House fermented bean curd sauce $80, fried tofu with Private House fermented bean curd sauce $40
All I can say is that the fried food in this shop is fried very well, and you can hear the ASMR crispy sound when you bite into it.
I like the taste of fermented bean curd sauce. The fried spring rolls and fried tofu go well together, but I don’t like the filling of the spring rolls very much. I may not order them again in the future.
You can choose spicy or non-spicy fried chicken wings. We ordered spicy, but it was not spicy at all. The taste and meat quality are both good, and we are willing to repurchase!
Overall, the staff at this store are very friendly and courteous, and most of the meals are to my liking. I will continue to visit again in the future~
It's a short walk from the MRT station. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk. You have to queue up to get a number plate and wait for your number to be called before ordering food and being seated. The environment is clean and bright, there are many seats and the space is spacious and not crowded.
About the meal
Boneless chicken legs with scallion oil sauce, NT$115. The scallion oil is very salty and needs to be paired with chicken or rice. The chicken is served cold, very soft and delicious😋
Three shredded fried spring rolls with private house bean curd sauce, NT$40. Be careful as the fried spring rolls are very hot inside just after frying. The private house bean curd sauce is delicious. I ate the whole thing with the sauce.
The blanched cabbage was served very late and I forgot to take a photo. The cabbage is crisp and refreshing. It is also good to eat alone with some crispy onions.
Chicken oil rice, NT$23, a little bit of chicken oil, very fragrant and flavorful, a little more would be better with rice
There is already a small line of people during meal time. You have to go to get the number plate first, and then order and pay on the spot when the number comes.
The store provides a water dispenser with ice water.
The store only provides disposable chopsticks for self-pickup.
There is an announcement in the store that due to lack of staff, there will be a slight wait for the food to be served. It does take a while, and it is also said that all the meals will not be served at once.
The boneless chicken legs are $115. They are very delicious. They go well with rice. The meat is soft and the skin is very tender. It is very tasty. It is recommended to order some.
The chicken fat cabbage, $40, is quite tasty and tasty, and is recommended for those who like vegetables.
Both white rice at $18 and chicken oil rice at $22 are pretty solid, so one bowl is pretty filling.
A portion of four fried spring rolls costs $80. The fried spring rolls have a good fried texture and are delicious with their special sauce.
Will visit again if I pass by.
