The tempura in the tendon is crispy, and the sauce is moderately salty and sweet, making the flavor not too heavy; however, the rice is a bit too soft, which affects the overall dining experience.
Review by a user: There are wash basins available at the food street.
This is Tenpura no Yama at Umeda Hanshin, specializing in various tempura bowls.
This time, I ordered three types:
Tempura bowl (800 yen)
Ebi and anago tempura bowl (900 yen)
Ebi kakiage tempura bowl (600 yen)
The fried items are crispy, and the sauce is moderately salty and sweet, not too greasy. You can choose the rice size (large, medium, small), but the rice is on the softer side, which affects the texture; it is the most ordinary rice I’ve had in Japan.
Overall, the tempura bowls are quite good and reasonably priced, but the rice could be better.
