The sauce is quite good, sweet but not overwhelming, nicely bringing out the rich meat flavors. The side dishes are standard; the pickled vegetables, glass noodles, and cabbage are all decent. There’s also a fried egg, which is a nice surprise for this price range.
The fresh chili peppers in the store are also good, with a decent level of spiciness that really adds flavor and depth. The rice has a firmer texture, but when combined with the BBQ sauce, I found it very delicious.
Overall, it’s a nice bento shop. I visited around 3 PM, and perhaps because the store was preparing for the next batch of bentos, it was a bit chaotic, resulting in limited seating. However, considering the deliciousness of the meal and the moderately priced offerings around the Taipei Main Station area, I would definitely come back to try other dishes.
