Finally reached level 50! I can change my avatar now (huh).

Hidden Tavern in Taipei's Yongchun area is located on Section 5 of Zhongxiao East Road, just a three-minute walk from the Yongchun MRT station. This tavern lies below the bustling street, which fits perfectly with its name "Hidden," offering a serene yet luxurious atmosphere.

Today I enjoyed steamed egg with seafood, crab roe three delicacies rice, sautéed pea shoots, and a platter of marinated snacks, paired with a Zen Qing cocktail, Gin and Tonic, and tonic water, totaling 2629 NTD.

Steamed Egg with Seafood:
It features abalone, fresh shrimp, and salmon roe atop a creamy steamed egg. The overall luxury is impressive, with layers of fresh flavors. The steamed egg is delicately smooth, and the seafood is fresh without overpowering. However, just like the version I tried before at the Guo Guan branch, it was quite hot...

Crab Roe Three Delicacies Rice:
The rice includes broccoli, crab meat, squid, and shrimp. The texture is warm, with a rich aroma of crab roe, complemented by the fresh sweetness of the seafood ingredients, making a balanced flavor overall, but the portion is on the small side. Considering the price of 280 NTD, it's still fairly reasonable.

Sautéed Pea Shoots:
Simply stir-fried, they retain the crispness and sweetness of the vegetables, and the portion surprisingly comes quite large.

Marinated Snacks Platter:
Includes spicy tofu, cold chicken feet, shredded pig ears, and pickled meat. Each has a distinct flavor: the spicy tofu is mildly spicy and flavorful, the chicken feet are cold and chewy, while the pickled meat has a solid texture.

Zen Qing:
A cocktail made from gin mixed with green tea, grapefruit, perilla, and green tea powder, with an elegant aroma. The tea fragrance is subtle yet has a mild sweetness after blooming.

Gin and Tonic:
There’s a buy one get one free deal after 10 PM; a classic option.

Tonic Water:
Just ordinary tonic water, simple and refreshing.

Overall, it's a Taiwanese tavern that balances exquisite dishes with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers diverse choices and well-crafted cocktails; the dining experience and service are quite good. Tonight, there happen to be live singing performances, with beautiful and relaxing sounds, making it a great place for gatherings with friends or a casual drink.

The seating is spacious, the environment is clean and comfortable, and the staff are proactive, maintaining a great dining pace throughout the evening. Tonight was to celebrate my wife's successful job change; initially, we wanted to go to the "Hermit's" Guo Guan branch, but we found that it’s mysteriously closed down now. Thankfully, this branch didn't disappoint.

The names of the two places are indeed different; I didn’t make a typo. The one closed is Hermit, while this one is Hidden, ha ha 😂. If you see this, please go ahead and mark the Hermit Guo Guan branch as permanently closed.

Highly recommended to everyone!
