Ippudo's ramen offers a variety of choices, with the white and red bowls and the Da Ming Jia flavor being particularly popular, especially the rich soy sauce tonkotsu broth from Da Ming Jia. The stir-fried dishes are also impressive, and pairing them with South Africa's national treasure tea is simply perfect.
The restaurant is located at Taipei Station, with a comfortable environment and usually no need to queue. The South African national treasure tea provided makes one feel relaxed, making it suitable for dining.
The service is friendly and efficient. Although no service charge is collected, the complimentary side dishes and South African national treasure tea enhance the dining experience.
Ichiran is also a well-known Japanese ramen brand in Taiwan, and this shop at Taipei Main Station is one of my regular places when I visit. I don't know why, but most of the time I don't have to wait in line. 🤣
Besides the traditional white and red bowls, I really love the Da Ming Jia flavor. The rich soy sauce tonkotsu broth with thick noodles and spinach is really perfect for people who enjoy strong flavors.
Additionally, what really impressed me this time was the plate of stir-fried vegetables I ordered, which was cooked very well. 😋 Not to mention the classic South African Rooibos tea, which pairs perfectly with the oily ramen to balance out the richness. I even took a package home to brew!
This time, I ordered a meal for two people to share for a total of 890 yuan (no service charge). The overall soup of Ippudo's ramen is a bit salty. If you like to drink soup, you may be careful about excessive sodium content! I think the table for two people is a bit small. The free tea provided is caffeine-free South African national treasure tea, which is not bad! The side dish edamame has no taste, the fried chicken and fried dumplings are ordinary, but the dessert "Sweet Honey Fried Buns" is not bad!
Since I happened to have an itinerary at Taipei Main Station, I went to Yipudang, located in Breeze Plaza on the second floor of the station, for dinner. I have always felt that Ippudo is a restaurant that I occasionally think of to eat and see, and this time is no exception.
Although Ippudo specializes in ramen, this time I ordered fried rice. Ippudo's special fried rice is a simple soy sauce fried rice, with seasonings such as barbecued pork and fish slabs added, and fresh chopped green onions. It did not disappoint; however, the rice was slightly soggy, which greatly reduced the overall quality. The score is a bit pity
My friend ordered the special shiramaru, which was generally in line with his expectations and was an orthodox tonkotsu ramen.
In addition to the food we ordered, there are also spicy bean sprouts and South African national treasure tea that can be enjoyed for free in the store. The former is quite appetizing, while the latter is mild and relieves greasiness. I personally think it is a good match for a meal of ramen.
