"Kumachan House" is located inside the Global Mall at Kaohsiung's Xinzuoying Station, and it is a restaurant that specializes in Japanese ramen and rice bowls.

This time, I ordered the curry fried chicken, and overall, the experience was somewhat disappointing. Firstly, the fried chicken's outer skin was too hard, the chicken inside was a bit dry, and there was also a slight fishy smell, which significantly detracted from the texture and flavor. The curry flavor was not striking enough, and there was a slight sourness in the aftertaste. Although this might be the restaurant's unique flavor characteristic, it was somewhat hard to adapt to while eating. The side salad was also rather wilted, making it unappetizing.

Additionally, the flavor of the miso soup was quite vague; I wasn't sure what I was drinking and ended up not finishing it. Although the staff were nice and the meal allowed for extra rice and salad, the quality of the food was truly unsatisfactory. It didn’t inspire any appetite to want more rice.

For a price of $270 per serving, the food quality really doesn’t warrant any compliments. While it’s said you could fill up on plain rice, if the food itself isn’t tasty, then there's no point in that. 😢

Overall, the dishes at Kumachan House did not taste good, and I do not recommend it.
