Hot pot | NT$800

AI Spot Summary

The restaurant offers premium meats primarily consisting of Japanese Wagyu and Black Hair Pork, as well as Japanese Shabu-shabu and Sukiyaki, with exquisite meat quality and moderate portions. The Snow View Hot Pot features a refreshing pork bone broth paired with radish puree, naturally delicious. The chicken white soup base is slightly greasy, and the beverage prices are on the high side.

The restaurant environment has a Japanese cuisine atmosphere, and the overall experience is pleasant.

The service attitude is acceptable, but when introducing the dishes, it lacks enthusiasm. There is room for improvement in service quality.

Today we're eating at Heimao House, located in the restaurant street above the Tianmu SOGO department store. There were quite a few people queuing during the New Year dining period.

#Open During the New Year This hot pot restaurant is one of the brands under the Kanpai Group, focusing on high-quality meats such as Japanese Wagyu and Kurobuta pork, as well as authentic Japanese shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. They are open for business during the New Year period!

We decided to get seated on-site at 5 PM without needing to wait.

The menu has a limited selection, mainly featuring Wagyu and Iberico pork, as well as a Hakata-style water hot pot, which uses chicken broth with chicken thighs. The soup is very rich; my family enjoyed it, but I personally felt that the chicken broth was a bit greasy, and it felt slightly heavy while drinking.

I had the "Snow View Hot Pot" with Iberico pork and an additional order of high-grade marbled pork priced at 199 NT dollars. The portions are quite delicate, but you can tell that the quality of the meat is pretty good. One serving is just right for one person, making me about 70% full. The vegetable platter is also designed to be delicate, but I really liked the organic golden needle mushrooms they provided.

The Snow View Hot Pot mainly uses pork bone broth, paired with grated radish to enhance the soup's refreshing flavor. Compared to the chicken broth, I really prefer the refreshing taste of the Snow View Hot Pot, as it doesn’t leave such a heavy taste after eating.

They offer white rice, tofu, and a specialty noodle called "Kyouban Noodles" for the water hot pot.

The "Kyouban Noodles" are similar to ramen noodles. After we finish cooking the hot pot, the restaurant quickly cooks the leftover hot pot broth with these noodles, then adds them to the chicken broth and sprinkles scallions on top. The taste is somewhat like a mix of dry noodles and ramen. I personally thought it was just okay, possibly because I felt a bit full after the hot pot, but my family really liked it.

Their drinks need to be ordered separately; a cup of unsweetened tea starts at $60, and a cup of Calpis is also quite expensive. This part is what I feel could be improved, as I noticed most people only drank water.

Overall, the environment is very nice, giving off a Japanese dining vibe. The service was okay; when I asked a staff member how to add the grated radish, they seemed a bit indifferent in their explanation, giving off a vibe of "this and that all work."

Regarding the food, the meat does feel very high quality, but the portions are somewhat delicate, making the main meal cost a bit high. Personally, I think there’s a chance I’d come back to try their Iberico pork and marbled pork again; it would be great if other areas could be improved as well.
