The spicy and numbing miso dipping noodles from Kikkinbo are known for their chewy noodles and rich dipping sauce, with distinct layers of spiciness. Ingredients like braised pork and cilantro enhance the flavor, resulting in a high level of overall completeness.
The restaurant space is not big but is well arranged, the environment is clean, and the atmosphere is comfortable, making it suitable for ramen lovers to come and enjoy the food.
The service process is smooth, the staff is friendly, and although it may be busy during peak hours, the overall service quality is good.
Goujinbo Taipei Main Store is located near the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Chang'an West Road, not far from both Taipei Main Station and Zhongshan Station, and is one of the representative heavy-flavor ramen shops that many ramen enthusiasts visit.
Today, I enjoyed the spicy sesame miso dipping noodles, priced at 330 NT dollars.
Spicy Sesame Miso Dipping Noodles:
The thick and chewy dipping noodles have a springy texture, and each bite is filled with rich wheat flavor. The dipping sauce is the restaurant’s signature spicy sesame miso broth, which is dense and rich, with very distinct layers of spiciness and nuttiness. The flavor is full-bodied and impeccable, making it a very refreshing experience.
This time, I added half a portion of cilantro, which provided a unique aroma that enhanced the overall dish and paired excellently with the rich miso dipping sauce. The braised pork wasn’t bad either; it was tender and, for me, a bit on the sweeter side, but that’s really nitpicking. The bean sprouts and baby corn were also impeccable.
Overall, this is a renowned shop for its strong flavor layers and rich taste in dipping noodles. From the noodles to the broth and toppings, each component demonstrates a high level of quality. For first-time visitors, I recommend choosing the regular spicy and regular sesame levels, and once you’re familiar, you can challenge the higher spice levels.
The restaurant space isn’t large, but the seating is well arranged, the environment is clean, and the service process is quite smooth, making it worth a special visit.
The owner initially considered shutting down the dipping noodle section due to poor business, which surprised ramen fans greatly, resulting in long lines for the dipping noodles. Let’s hope the dipping noodles can continue to survive!
Highly recommended to everyone!
Guijinbang has three stores on Zhongshan North Road, namely a noodle shop (Taipei main store), a ramen shop (Zhongshan store) and a Zhongshan annex. What I want to introduce today is the original restaurant. The main dish is the miso spicy mochi noodles that Onikikinbang is famous for! Of course, there are also regular Hakata tonkotsu ramen and black sesame oil ramen to choose from.
In fact, the earliest Oni Gold Stick is worthy of four stars. However, the more I eat it in recent years, the more I feel that the overall taste is not as good as before. Although it is still the best among spicy noodles, it has been a long time since I wanted to eat it, so in the end I just decided to eat it. Gave three stars.
Every element of Ghost Gold Stick’s tsukemen is unique and harmonious with each other. If this is your first time and you don’t know what to choose, it is recommended that you start with Xiaoma Xiaola and try it first, so as not to accidentally eat it. Too spicy and miss the chance to taste delicious.
The ingredients for tsukemen include: soft kakuzo simmered in sauce, bean sprouts that are quickly stir-fried over high heat and filled with oily aroma, a rich and fragrant candied egg inside, and a piece of seaweed. You can choose to eat each item separately or with the dipping sauce. As long as the spiciness of the dipping sauce is moderate, you will really enjoy every bite. It is truly a unique holy dish among tsukemen.
Black sesame oil ramen also has a unique taste. The thick black sesame oil soup base is quite smooth and will not make you feel greasy after just a few bites. Although it is not as popular as spicy sesame ramen, it is still the best choice if you are not in the mood to eat tsukemen. It’s an option to give it a try.
When I came to eat it today, I couldn’t add more stir-fried bean sprouts. Otherwise, I highly recommend you to add some. It is one of the most delicious bean sprouts I have ever tasted in my life. It even makes me want to work and study there. Here’s an idea of how to fry it.
There is tomato vinegar on the table for seasoning. I like to add a few drops to the dipping soup when I am halfway through eating, to bring a bit of sour flavor to the original rich miso. I think it is quite delicious, but it doesn’t seem to be. Everyone just loves it😂
