The dish is in Taiwanese style, and the shrimp fry rice bowl is crispy and delicious, but it may be better to keep the ingredients separate. Udon is the main component, and it could be quite satisfying.
The store is cozy, and the lively atmosphere of the staff is very Taiwanese. It is suitable for when you want to finish your meal quickly.
The staff are friendly, and conversations in the store are lively. The service is quick and personable.
This is a restaurant located right next to the Shilin Night Market where you can enjoy dishes like udon, rice bowls, and hot pot.
It gave me the impression that the main dishes are Taiwanese-style rather than Japanese-style!
【Atmosphere of the restaurant】
The interior is not very large and has a cozy feel. I visited on a weekday night, and it felt very Taiwanese when the staff gathered at the back of the restaurant, chatting and having a good time 😂. The restaurant has a neat ambiance, and it seems more suitable for a quick meal rather than dining out with friends or family.
【Food evaluation】
Honestly, it was neither particularly good nor bad…
The portion size is decent, but the seasoning is quite average. The rice bowl with shrimp tempura that I ordered had cauliflower and green beans tossed in sesame dressing on top of the rice, which I personally would have preferred to be separate 🥲.
The shrimp tempura was crispy and delicious, but I thought it wasn't necessary to have it in a rice bowl 😇. There were quite a few types of rice bowls available, but since udon seems to be their specialty, I wonder if udon might offer a higher level of satisfaction?
Since it's right next to the night market, it's a great choice for when you want to sit down and enjoy a meal!

· Atmosphere -
Located in an alley of Shilin Night Market, the space is small but has a warm feeling. There are several tables with children dining, making it a family-friendly restaurant.
They offer delivery, dine-in, and takeout options. Dine-in seating is limited, and there is an outdoor smoking area by the entrance. The menu has many dishes to choose from. I noticed the owner is running the place alone, so you may need to wait for your food, but the service attitude is quite good.

Korokke (Croquette)
Overall, it's quite standard; unfortunately, the side dish with the curry was a bit simple (but for me, the portion was quite large, and I couldn't finish it towards the end). The two pieces of korokke were the most surprising; they were filled with sweet potato filling, giving a sweet and salty flavor, bursting with the sweetness of sweet potato—unexpectedly delicious! ✨ However, I noticed other tables ordered udon more frequently, so you might want to try that too.
