The sirloin beef and lamb in the sukiyaki are very delicious, with the beef short ribs cut into large satisfying pieces. The udon noodles are chewy, and the fried tofu is ordinary but tasty. The vegetable platter is abundant, and white rice and miso soup can be refilled once for free.
The restaurant is located near the Shilin MRT Station, with a clean and bright environment. It has a thriving business, so you may need to wait in line. It is perfect for enjoying delicious food.
The service is friendly and efficient, but attention must be paid to waiting and ordering rules. The staff reminds about dining details and does not charge a service fee.
♢ Bao House ♢
Location: Located outside Exit 1 of the Shilin MRT Station, just a one-minute walk away.
Dining Environment: Clean and bright.
Ordering Method: Order directly from the staff.
I checked the reviews on Google Maps and was initially a bit worried that the staff might be harsh, but if you take the time to read the rules seriously, you won’t have any issues!
The waiting process is a bit more complicated:
Sukiyaki American Beef Short Rib $600
Not many pieces, but they are cut into large chunks! Very satisfying to eat.
Udon Noodles Rice +$30 upgrade
Not frozen udon noodles, but they’re still very chewy. The staff will remind you not to put it all in at once; cook only as much as you can eat, or else the pot will burn.
Fried Tofu $60
Delicious regular fried tofu.
The portions may not seem large, but most people will feel full after finishing. This is definitely a place I will return to!
A sukiyaki restaurant very close to the Shilin MRT station exit. The business is quite good, so you need to rush to the entrance to write down your information and queue. When your turn is called, everyone in your party must be present; otherwise, you will be skipped.
We ordered:
Sukiyaki - sirloin beef for $480, the beef is cut into large pieces and pairs well with the egg, making it incredibly smooth and delicious.
Sukiyaki lamb for $460, which also tastes good; those who like lamb should enjoy it.
Regarding the vegetable platter, the restaurant keeps reminding to place the cabbage first.
White rice and miso soup can be refilled for free once. The dessert offered is mochi.
The restaurant has some rules that you should read carefully to avoid extra charges; for example, the eggs included with the sukiyaki cannot be cooked in the pot, or there will be an additional cleaning fee of $100.
A 10% service charge is not collected.
Bringing outside food is prohibited.
Finally, there will be a small peanut mochi as an after-dinner snack, which is the perfect end to this round. I feel really full after eating. I will try other dishes next time🙏🏻
