Lawrence Burger, located in Taipei's Xinyi District, is a burger joint that focuses on affordable American-style burgers. This time, I ordered the "Classic Cheeseburger" set, paired with "Lauren Fries" and a glass of Sprite. Overall, the experience was not disappointing, but there is still much room for improvement.

First, let’s talk about the standout side, the "Lauren Fries." These fries have a crispy exterior and a soft interior. The restaurant sprinkled Parmesan cheese and lemon zest on the fries, adding a refreshing and savory flavor, which gives a nice twist to traditional fries. However, if there were a bit more cheese and lemon zest, the layers of flavor would be more pronounced, making them even better 🧀🍋.

As for the "Classic Cheeseburger," the beef patty was on the dry side, lacking the necessary juiciness and aroma of fat. It was almost tasteless, and that satisfying juiciness typical of American burgers was missing with each bite. Moreover, the presence of tendons in the beef made the texture less smooth and chewier in an uncomfortable way, which is a significant drawback for the quality of the burger patty. Although the cheese had a noticeable presence, it couldn’t compensate for the shortcomings of the patty itself.

The Sprite was standard, refreshing and thirst-quenching, but didn’t offer much surprise.

Overall, Lawrence Burger's pricing is relatively affordable, making it appealing in a location like Xinyi District. However, when it comes to flavor, there is certainly plenty of room for improvement, particularly regarding the quality of the beef patty and the control of its doneness. If you're simply looking for a place to grab a quick bite accompanied by some decent fries, it might be a viable option. But if you are a burger enthusiast who values meat quality and flavor, you might as well just order the fries 🍟.
