The tofu pudding at this shop has a smooth texture and retains the original flavor of the soybeans. Paired with taro balls and peanuts, it evokes a sense of nostalgia. The prices are reasonable, making it worth a try.
The environment in the store is clean and bright. Although sometimes there is a need to wait in line due to many customers, the atmosphere is lively, making it suitable for those who want to enjoy desserts.
The staff is friendly, the ordering process is simple, and although sometimes you have to wait, the overall dining experience is good, with various payment options available.
Binglin ancient flavored bean curd
A bowl after dinner is so satisfying😌
The menu includes traditional tofu pudding, soy milk tofu pudding, brown sugar shaved ice, Kansai grass jelly, snowflake ice and handmade tea.
Very diverse 😀
In addition to our store, there is a seating area next door
This time the two of them had a bowl of soy milk and tofu pudding (red beans🫘 + taro balls)
Price is $55
I think his tofu pudding itself is very dense and the soybean flavor is very fragrant.
The red beans are cooked just right, not too pink, and the skin is still a little crispy.
In addition, red beans themselves are sweet!
This is the first time to eat his taro balls.
It’s delicious 🤤
The sugar content of the taro balls itself is relatively high, very elastic, the taro flavor is very fragrant, and you can even eat some taro pieces.
You can choose soy milk with or without sugar
If there is sugar, the sweetness will be slightly sweet~
Later, I ended up eating too much food.
I also asked the store if I could add soy milk 😂 (it turned out yes! Good luck)
Recycle your plates after your meal
There are also toilets and sinks where you can wash your hands after enjoying the meal.
But eating one bowl for two people is a bit unsatisfying haha~
Next time I will also want to try the ice cream!
The price is around $85
It looks like a big bowl and delicious too😋
It was very hot at night and I happened to come here to have ice cream. It turned out that the air-conditioning in the store was under maintenance. Fortunately, I had ice cream otherwise it would be very hot. There are not many seats in the store. It is clean and bright. The outside is cooler than the inside. The ordering line will be squeezed by the bar seats. It's best to come out when no one is ordering.
About the meal
Shaved ice + 4 toppings, NT$80. I ordered taro balls, taro, and mung beans. There were 2 large taro balls. The taro balls were full and soft, the mung beans were okay, and the brown sugar tasted good.
The weather is very hot, so I came here to eat shaved ice, but I’m not sure if the air conditioning is on in the store because it’s so hot~
There are quite a few seats today, but during popular dining times, sometimes you may have to wait a while.
The store orders and pays directly at the counter, and then finds a seat to sit on. Wait for the number to be called before going to the counter to pick up your meal.
I ordered brown sugar shaved ice, and you can choose from four toppings for $80, but if you choose taro, it will cost you $5 more. Choosing condensed milk counts as one.
Tofu curd is also $55 if you choose any two items, and if you choose taro, it will cost you $5 more.
Brown sugar and condensed milk both have a very good taste. The taro is very large and solid and delicious. The taro balls and mung beans are of the standard you would find in a regular bean curd shaved ice shop.
There are quite a lot of people during meal time, and you have to queue up to order. There happens to be a sink outside where you can wash your hands.
The overall dining experience is pretty good. Sometimes when I pass by, the weather is hot, or I want a dessert, I want to come in and eat.
A very famous Douhua shop in Ningxia night market. It has a history of several decades. Most of the store staff can speak multiple languages (Japanese and English are no problem), and the payment methods are also very diverse. It is a very advanced traditional bean curd shop.
Because there are many customers, whether you are eating in or taking out, you have to take the same line, order first and then take a seat. There is a menu at the queue area so you can check what you want to eat first, and most of the tofu pudding and shaved ice ingredient combinations have been classified and numbered, so ordering can be faster.
This time I ordered the signature "Douhua No. 1", which is the very common tofu pudding + pink balls + peanuts.
I have to say that these simple combinations will never make you tired of eating them. The tofu pudding itself is very smooth, but you can taste the original solid feeling of soybeans. It is an ancient-style tofu pudding where you can taste the raw materials! The rice balls are elastic without being too separated from other foods, and they won't stick to your teeth. The peanuts are as expected. Overall, the bean curd is very in line with expectations, and the price of a bowl is not too expensive, so I highly recommend coming here to try their signature bean curd!
