The dishes at Tai Tai Yuan are rich and varied. The Panang curry beef and volcanic ribs are stunning, with a strong curry aroma and the ribs being sufficiently sour and spicy. The curry pork and shrimp paste water spinach are also highly praised, with generous portions. The Tom Yum Kung soup is slightly on the sour side, and the durian pancakes are a bit sweet and oily.
The restaurant's decor is thoughtfully designed, with greenery covering the walls and ceiling, creating a tropical jungle atmosphere. The environment is comfortable and suitable for taking photos.
This time at Tai Tai Garden in Taichung is a Thai restaurant that puts a lot of effort into its environment. The decor creates a fantastic atmosphere, with walls and ceilings covered in greenery, resembling a tropical little jungle, which is very beautiful and great for taking photos. The overall dining environment is comfortable, the air conditioning is sufficiently cool, and the seating is spacious, making it a pleasant place to eat. We directly ordered the three-person set meal, but the actual portion feels sufficient for four people, with a rich variety of dishes.
Panang Curry Beef: This dish is one of my favorites. The curry is very fragrant, and the beef is tender, making the sauce incredibly delicious with rice.
Stir-fried Minced Pork with Thai Basil: Essentially, it's the Thai basil pork, and it has a good balance of salty, fragrant, and spicy flavors; it's a killer with white rice.
Stir-fried Water Spinach with Shrimp Paste: Perfectly cooked, flavorful but not overly salty, and the portion is generous.
Volcano Ribs: This dish has a bit of a visual shock, with a huge plate piled high like a volcano full of ribs. It's tangy and spicy, and the meat is not too tough, making it quite enjoyable.
Tom Yum Kung Soup: For me, it’s slightly on the sour side, but overall, the flavor is okay, and the ingredients are not sparse.
Sweet Durian Pancake: This dish was a bit disappointing, as it was a small piece with not much durian, fried too oily and quite sweet, so I wouldn’t recommend this one.
Thai Milk Tea: This should be from the Thai hand-pulled series; it's quite sweet but very authentic, great for those who love Thai milk tea.
Overall, it's a delicious Thai restaurant. Considering the decoration and portion sizes, the prices are quite reasonable, making it suitable for group meals and family gatherings.
