The lunch set menu offers great value for money, with fresh sushi and excellent taste, especially the surprising pairing of shiso with the squid nigiri. Although the portion sizes are on the smaller side, extra orders can be added, and the grilled scallops have an outstanding texture.
The restaurant has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and the interaction between the guests and the chefs adds a sense of warmth, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The store provides efficient service, calling customers in order at the door to seat them, and proactively asking after the meal if they would like to order more.
During lunch time, they offer relatively cheap set meals. On holidays, they offer Omakase dishes without a menu (the average price is more than 2,000). This time, I chose to book a holiday lunch to try out the set meals~
Before 12 o'clock, there are already several groups of customers waiting outside the store. You can check in first. After the store opens, your number will be called in order and you can be seated.
There are three options for set meals:
I chose nigiri sushi and my friend chose chirashi sushi.
Sitting at the bar, you can see the chef's knife skills and sushi-making skills up close. Some chefs will also chat enthusiastically with the customers. I feel that some of the customers should be regular customers and they can chat about home affairs. The atmosphere is not too serious, which is not bad~
The sushi was served very quickly. While I was still taking pictures, there were already three pieces of sushi on the sushi plate (so fast!)
Each nigiri sushi is already seasoned, so there is no need to dip it in soy sauce or wasabi rice. Overall, I thought they were all quite delicious, and I didn’t try any of Lei’s dishes. Among them, I liked the Hanazhi nigiri the most. The perilla breaded in it really refreshed my taste buds. I really like this fresh taste!
Perhaps the only drawback was that the portion of the 7-guan dish was too small, so we each ordered a grilled scallop. The grilled scallops + seaweed are delicious when wrapped together. The scallops are very large, and the salt from the seaweed can enrich the umami flavor of the scallops. It also adds to the texture and has a perfect ending.
In fact, after all the set meals are served, the chef will ask if you need more. If you are not full, you can directly look at the items on the blackboard menu at the back, or directly ask the chef if there is any seafood or items you want to eat ~
The dining experience of the lunch set meal this time was not bad, but I feel that because the price is relatively close to the people, the ingredients may not be too high-end. Next time I have the opportunity to experience the off-menu cuisine for dinner, it will be much more amazing!
