Dotonbori fried noodles have an excellent flavor, with a rich egg aroma and a superb combination of sauce. The crispy sesame buns are fragrant but a bit greasy, while the pan-fried dumplings are somewhat ordinary. The curry Tianjin rice is overly salty and not as expected.
The decor is full of Japanese charm, making one feel as if they are in Osaka.
During meal times, there are many customers, and the restaurant is of medium size, making it easy to fill up.
I happened to have something to do at Banqiao Train Station, and since it was lunchtime, I decided to check out the food street, thinking I would grab something to eat nearby.
I then saw Da Ban Wang Jiang, glanced at the menu at the entrance, and noticed they had Tianjin rice, which I really like, so I decided to go in.
This was my first time trying Da Ban Wang Jiang. During lunchtime, there were quite a few customers, and the restaurant was moderately sized but filled up quickly.
After sitting down, I obviously thought about the Tianjin rice, and ultimately chose the curry Tianjin rice.
After taking a bite, I was very disappointed; it was more like curry omelet rice. The characteristic of Tianjin rice is its thick sauce, but the restaurant replaced it with curry, and the curry was extremely salty—so salty that I couldn't finish it.
Overall, I was very disappointed and hope the restaurant can change their name because that really isn't Tianjin rice to me.

A well-known restaurant from Osaka, I found out that it has been operating in Taiwan since 2017, and it just recently opened at Banqiao Station. My family had previously tried another branch and thought it was pretty good, so they recommended the stir-fried noodles for takeout. I decided to give it a try this time.
▪️ Dotonbori Fried Noodles $155
The base consists of Japanese-style fried noodles, topped with a layer resembling an omelette, and there’s also a layer of mayonnaise and bonito flakes, similar to what you’d find on okonomiyaki. The fried noodles are normally tasty, and the egg is very fragrant and tender. Combined with the sauce, it’s incredibly delicious! I really love the okonomiyaki flavor, and this seasoning suits my taste perfectly.
▪️ Crispy Sesame Buns $50 for 3 pieces
I saw these and was intrigued, so I ordered them. They are fried buns with sesame paste inside, and the sesame is quite tasty and aromatic, though the buns are a bit greasy.
Overall, I previously ordered the pan-fried dumplings and thought they were just okay. They were very small and not particularly tasty. Basically, I would be willing to return to this place just for the noodles. I’ll have to try other items when given the opportunity.
