"The dried tofu from 'Shangheyuan Lu Wei' is flavorful and aromatic, and the chicken feet are chewy without being mushy, with a slightly salty aroma that is worth a try. The overall braised dish is well-seasoned, with the satay dried tofu being mildly spicy and salty, the tofu skin having a unique texture, and the chicken gizzards exuding a rich sesame oil fragrance."
There are no indoor seating options here, making it a great choice while shopping, suitable for snacking while you stroll. The store is clean and tidy, and the packaging is convenient, perfect for takeout.

🥢【Items Purchased】
▪️ Satay Tofu $25: Slightly spicy and salty, nicely flavored with satay, perfect for chatting while enjoying tea 😋
▪️ Tofu Skin $25: This tofu skin is unique! It’s not the traditional flat kind; it resembles tied sheets of tofu, with a firm bite and a very special texture 👍
▪️ Chicken Wings $40 (four pieces): Well seasoned and edible cold, they’re sticky on your hands but you can't help but keep eating 👐
▪️ Chicken Gizzards $40: This is my favorite box 💕 has a faint aroma of sesame oil, gets more fragrant the more you chew, super satisfying when you're craving a snack!

Overall, the snacks are quite flavorful, and the packaging is convenient and clean 👌
However, everything is somewhat heavy in flavor, and eating too much can get a bit overwhelming.
I recommend sharing with a few people to balance it out 👭👬 (Anyone want to share snacks with Wolf Wolf?)
"Shanghe Garden Lu Wei" is located on Yizhong Street in Taichung, and it's a snack that I always buy whenever I stroll down that street. The lu wei (braised dishes) here adopts a cold marinated style, instead of the traditional hot marinated route, which makes it feel refreshing and unique. I especially recommend the tofu and chicken feet here; the tofu is marinated well and very fragrant, while the chicken feet are chewy and delicious, not overly soft, with a slight salty flavor that enhances the fun of snacking.
The only downside is that the prices have been rising year by year, making it somewhat burdensome for students now. However, this gradual price increase is quite common for shops in Taiwan. So every time I go, I basically only buy chicken feet and tofu, as I hesitate over other items once the prices go up. There are no dine-in spots here, so after buying, you can only eat while strolling or find a suitable place to sit down and enjoy, making it a good choice for street food snacks.
Overall, the chicken feet and tofu at "Shanghe Garden Lu Wei" are worth a try, but if you have a limited budget, it's best to pick a few favorite small dishes to sample. The overall flavor is quite nice and suitable for a quick snack.
