The red guava American coffee has a smooth texture and exudes a rich guava aroma, leaving a deep impression; the candy-flavored pudding has a standard taste, overall sweet. It's worth a try and might be worth repurchasing occasionally.
The indoor environment has an outdoor courtyard, suitable for enjoying coffee under the shade of trees. It has a Japanese style that makes people feel relaxed. It may not be very suitable for indoor dining on rainy days.
The service speed is fast, almost no need to queue, and the service is quite good.
🌟 A meal with just one drink is enough, no time limit
Located in a small alley near the Si Si Nan Cun in Taipei's Xinyi District,
an outdoor café is found at the corner.
I think those who enjoy strolling through the city will like this place.
In the midst of the skyscrapers on the streets of Taipei,
this café with a Japanese style stands out prominently.
It specializes in takeout coffee, and if you don't go around to the back,
it's hard to realize that there’s such a unique seating area behind it.
The space isn’t large, but it has its own charm. The combination of the pebble path and camping chairs allows you to chill even in the city, as if you're drinking coffee outdoors.
My favorite part is the big tree overhead; with the gentle breeze, it offers a sense of escaping the hustle and bustle, combined with a touch of Japanese romance.
Xiao Chuan Coffee Menu: Focused on coffee, with options like Americano, latte, pour-over, and tea, along with the seasonally limited Pink Guava Americano, which is why I came here.
For desserts, there are puddings and financier.
Pink Guava Americano 💰100
When pink guava meets Americano, the taste is unexpectedly layered and it’s a drink that even those who dislike bitterness can enjoy!!
As someone who generally doesn’t love Americanos, I can accept this one.
Its refreshing, sweet and sour fruit aroma combined with the rich, slightly bitter Americano brings a sense of summer.
Emphasis on meals: The Pink Guava Americano is quite good.
Emphasis on environment: Indoor seating available, outdoor Japanese-style ambiance.
The downside is it's not recommended to go on rainy days.
It’s an unlimited-time café.
Emphasis on parking: It's difficult to find parking for both scooters and cars.
Emphasis on restrooms: None.
Emphasis on queuing: Very fast service with almost no wait.
Emphasis on service: Quite good.
Emphasis on value for money: 🌟🌟🌟
(Simply discussing food and price)
Hello everyone, I am a little frog 🐸.
I came to the vicinity of Wu Xing Street in the Xinyi District of Taipei and passed by a building with a red brick wall under a big tree. It's a special place called <Xiao Chuan Coffee House>.
They sell single-origin coffee and special brewed coffee, mainly for takeout. However, they have tables and chairs set up in an outdoor courtyard for people to enjoy on-site. It's shaded by trees, but it might not be suitable for indoor use on rainy days.
⭐️ Red Heart Guava Americano $100
10 oz capacity, the rich guava aroma paired with a mildly sour Americano complements each other without conflict. The balance is very smooth; it’s the first time I've tasted something like this, and I find it delicious! I usually drink more lattes and am not a big fan of the adult-flavored Americano, but I can accept this cup.
⭐️ Honwa Caramel Pudding $100
They use Honwa caramel from Japan, but I'm not very good at tasting the differences in sugar. The pudding has a slightly creamy texture, with not too much decoration. You can see a little bit of vanilla seeds in it (but not much). Overall, it's rich and sweet, which pairs perfectly with the coffee.
‼️ Conclusion:
The Red Heart Guava Americano is tasty and memorable, while the pudding is just average. Drinking coffee in the fall should be quite pleasant, although the coffee portion is on the smaller side, making the price feel a bit high in comparison. However, I would be willing to return if I pass by occasionally.
