The meal options are varied, especially the Fukuoka mentaiko chicken pasta, which has chewy noodles and a fragrant mentaiko sauce. Although the number of scallops in the Hyogo sea urchin sauce dish is small, they are cooked perfectly, and the sea urchin sauce is rich but slightly fishy.
The space is not large, but the atmosphere is relaxed, with a touch of minimalist style, making it suitable for enjoying pasta during a leisurely lunch or dinner.
Although the ordering machine was out of order, the staff were friendly and quickly assisted with placing the order, resulting in overall good service efficiency.
Located on Kitakōji Street, "PASTA de SHOW" is a charming little shop specializing in creative Italian pasta. The space is not large but has a relaxed atmosphere with a minimalist style, making it perfect for enjoying a steaming plate of pasta during a leisurely lunch or dinner to satisfy your cravings.
This time I ordered the "Fukuoka Mentaiko Chicken." The dish features fresh wide noodles that are chewy and reminiscent of handmade pasta, leaving a strong impression. The mentaiko sauce is mildly flavored yet aromatic, complemented by slices of chicken and a hint of spice. The combination of salty and spicy flavors invites you to take bite after bite without becoming overwhelming. The highlight of this dish is definitely the perfect harmony between the sauce and the pasta, rich yet not heavy—an exquisite example of Japanese-style Italian pasta!
The "Hyogo Sea Urchin Sauce Scallops" came with just two scallops, but they were sizeable and perfectly seared, with a slightly charred exterior and tender interior. The sea urchin sauce was generous, rich in flavor, and smooth in texture, though it still had a slight fishy taste. The accompanying fine noodles were a bit soft, which was a shame; a firmer pasta would have made it perfect. 🍝
Overall, "PASTA de SHOW" showcases thoughtful flavor designs and ingredient pairings. Personally, I preferred the chicken with pesto that I had on my previous visit, but if you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, this restaurant is definitely worth adding to your list for your next outing. Highly recommended for those wanting something different!
Have you ever been to our restaurant on Xinzhuang Street?
The Beida Road branch also inherits the decoration from Xinzhuang Street
The green plants at the door look vibrant
The store is bright and clean with the scent of wood
Same as ordering with the ordering machine
However, the ordering machine malfunctioned that day and it was the clerk who helped order food.
Rich menu
You can choose thin noodles/wide noodles/stewed rice
Spiciness: not spicy/slightly spicy/medium spicy/very spicy
What shocked me the most was that their 330ml canned soda only cost 20 yuan XD
Eat buttery clam pappardelle that day for $230
Their pasta sauce is relatively thin
But the flavor of the noodles with the sauce is enough
The noodles are chewy and not soft.
Because there's a lot of cheese sprinkled on top
I can’t quite taste the clam itself.
no rest between them
Very suitable for people who eat at non-meal times
Went for dinner that afternoon
Besides us, there are two other customers in the store
There is only one person in the kitchen
The waiting time for meals is about 10 minutes
If there are many people, it may take longer
