The current braised pork rice is made entirely of fatty meat, melting in your mouth with a savory, rich, and oily flavor, leaving a sticky, oily sensation. The braised egg is slightly dry and has a milder taste. The cabbage is stewed until tender and flavorful, balancing well with the braised pork rice, resulting in a high level of overall harmony.
The dining environment is crowded but filled with a nostalgic atmosphere, making it a youthful memory for many locals in Sanchong, and attracting quite a few people to come specifically.
The staff is highly efficient, proactively delivering meals to the table after ordering, and the overall service attitude is friendly.
Located on Daren Street in Sanchong, Jin Da Lu Rou Fan is not just a snack for many locals; it represents a memory of youth. For me, it is even "the best Lu Rou Fan in Taiwan." During my student days, I often came here; even now, with a busy work schedule, I still make it a point to carve out time to enjoy a bowl of nostalgia.
Jin Da's Lu Rou Fan is composed almost entirely of fatty meat. For those who love fatty meat, this is certainly a heavenly experience. The fat, slow-cooked for a long time, melts in your mouth, giving a sticky, oily sensation packed with collagen. The flavor is on the salty side, but when paired with white rice, it becomes "one bite after another, impossible to stop." Especially since the sauce provided by the shop is ample, the white rice gets soaked in the rich braising sauce, leaving a sticky feeling in your mouth after eating. However, that stickiness is, in fact, a unique refreshing memory of Jin Da. For me, this is "the ultimate experience of eating Lu Rou Fan"!
Braised Egg: The egg yolk is slightly dry. Although the surface has a nice color, the inside isn’t fully seasoned, making it taste somewhat bland. If you are a braised egg enthusiast, you might feel a bit disappointed. However, when eaten with Lu Rou Fan, it can slightly balance out the greasiness.
Braised Cabbage: The cabbage is stewed until soft and flavorful, with some pork skin included, enhancing the collagen texture. Although the portion isn’t massive, it perfectly balances the rich flavor of the Lu Rou Fan—each bite combines oiliness with a touch of sweetness, achieving a high overall harmony.
Jin Da Lu Rou Fan is salty, fragrant, and oily, leaving a noticeable sticky feeling in your mouth after eating. For me, this is a bowl of Lu Rou Fan filled with emotional value, not just in terms of flavor but also as a comforting taste close to my student days. Even though many new shops have opened in Sanchong, if I were to choose which Lu Rou Fan would make me willingly take a detour for it, it truly would be Jin Da!
I heard it's quite famous, but it doesn't taste that great. You could say it's like the braised pork rice from a family-run shop in the alleys of Taipei.
However, theirs is on the sweeter and greasier side, a bit too oily and sweet, not very typical of Taipei. Braised pork rice in Taipei should be saltier and leaner. There’s just too much fatty meat.
Also, the marinated egg doesn't have much flavor.
I think the traditional flavor near the Taipei Bridge MRT station tastes better… There's really no need to go all the way to Jinda.
🎉The King of Braised Pork Rice with Ten Thousand Reviews🎉
🎉Highly Popular Queue-worthy Food in San Chong🎉
Braised pork rice can be said to be one of Taiwan's most popular snacks 👍 and this particular place is among the top three most popular braised pork rice restaurants in northern Taiwan. Although parking is a bit inconvenient, during meal times, the crowd is always continuous 😆
Braised Pork Rice:
This braised pork rice focuses on fatty meat; although it only has fatty meat 😋 the shop cooks it very thoroughly, melting in your mouth. It's rich but not greasy, and the sauce is a perfect blend of salty and sweet, not overly sweet, super delicious 🙌🏻 Before you know it, a bowl is finished clean 😆
Braised Cabbage:
The cabbage is cooked to be very tender, making it easy to eat even for those with dental issues 🤣 The shrimp in it adds a layer of freshness to the cabbage dish 🤩 paired with the chewy pork skin that is really tasty ☺️
Braised Tofu and Egg:
Although it’s just a side dish, it’s a very economical option 😆 Both only cost ten dollars 👍 If the tofu sells out earlier, it's cooked fresh on the spot, so sometimes it’s really flavorful and delicious 😋 other times it may taste a bit bland 🥲 The braised egg is also 😑 it’s a casual culinary delight 🤣
Pork Rib Soup with Mustard Greens:
The shop’s soup is also one of its specialties; this type of stew is the best to drink, retaining all the essence of the ingredients in the broth, and the pork ribs melt in your mouth. Although it's mustard greens and pork rib soup, there are a couple of clams inside 🤩 making the soup even more delicious ☺️
In summary:
Simple Taiwanese snacks that are not so simple to make 😆 and braised pork rice is also one of the representative foods of Taiwan. If you are also a fan of braised pork rice, this place is absolutely not to be missed 👍
I have been attracted by this fat but not greasy braised pork for a long time.
As long as I come to Mie from Taoyuan, I will try my best to taste it.
Even if there is a queue of people during meal time
In fact, the turnover rate is quite fast.
Especially when you order a meal and pay, it will be delivered to your table for you.

Mie's famous Braised Pork Rice, there's always a queue every time I go there, but it goes very fast
His braised pork rice is mainly fatty meat, without any supplements, it’s just all fatty meat! It’s full of gelatin and feels so good!
The soy-flavored and sweet rice is moist and sticky. You can taste the sticky, oily, slippery rice covered with marinade in every bite! Super satisfied
Braised cabbage, shredded bamboo shoots and even tofu are nothing to mention~
Spare ribs soup has three or four pieces of meat and clams are added to make the soup more delicious.
It's just that the dining welcome is a bit uncomfortable
The floor is very sticky 😂 There is no air conditioning and it is stuffy. The electric fan is blowing very loudly.
