The meal prices are affordable and delicious, with the coconut shrimp pasta and truffle risotto highly recommended for their fragrant and unforgettable taste. The Korean spicy creamy pork pasta has a noticeable sweetness, while the truffle wild mushroom chicken looks appealing, though the seasoning needs improvement.
The dining environment is somewhat noisy, which may affect the dining experience, but the overall atmosphere is still lively and bustling, making it suitable for gatherings. The restaurant is clean, and its appearance is simple.
The staff are friendly and efficient, offering a diverse selection of beverages, including non-alcoholic cocktails, ensuring that every guest has a suitable choice.
Located next to the Tainan Sports Park, "Foodism" is a small restaurant that focuses on pairing pasta with creative sauces. The exterior is simple, and the environment is clean.
Korean Spicy Creamy Matsusaka Pork Pasta
The spiciness is not very high, but the sweetness is quite prominent. The overall flavoring is somewhat heavy yet singular, with a sweet initial taste followed by spiciness, lacking the delicate transition of aroma. The Matsusaka pork is average in performance, with a bouncy texture but slightly dry, lacking sufficient adhesion to the sauce. If the sweetness could be reduced and the spiciness and aromatic spices enhanced, it might better reflect the tension of the Korean "spicy cream" 🌶️.
Creamy Truffle Wild Mushroom Chicken
This dish is quite appealing in appearance with a rich, smooth sauce; there are plenty of king oysters that retain a substantial bite. The truffle aroma is noticeable at first, but soon overwhelmed by black pepper upon tasting. The amount of black pepper is rather excessive, causing the truffle's elegance and depth to be lost. The chicken performs well, with moderate tenderness that pairs naturally with the creamy sauce. Unfortunately, the imbalance in the details causes the main aroma to be overshadowed by the secondary seasoning.
Overall, this is a restaurant worth watching. Even though its current performance is still in exploration, one can see the chef's courage and curiosity towards flavor.
The price is affordable, the food is delicious, and the specialty pasta with excellent performance impressed me the most😍
I highly recommend the coconut shrimp pasta. I’ve been eating this for a whole week and I still can’t forget it! Another pasta dish called Kung Pao Chicken is also very unique. It is spicy and fragrant, which is a more Taiwanese version. Another truffle risotto is also very popular, the truffle tastes so good! All in all, we liked the pasta and risotto we ordered this time~
The other meat entrees are also good, but the pork tenderloin that I'm looking forward to the most seems to be a little more ordinary compared to other dishes; the ones I want to specially introduce are the peeled chili pork rolls and truffle chicken drumsticks, the aroma and meat are very well combined. Perfect, a great snack!
This restaurant has a lot of alcoholic beverages to choose from, and there are also non-alcoholic cocktails for those who don’t dare to drink (we both rode bikes this time, so we all drank non-alcoholic drinks). The non-alcoholic ones are also delicious.
This experience is actually great, but a small drawback is that the dining environment is really noisy, and it is a bit difficult to even hear the voices of the people sitting opposite~
But despite the flaws, this dining experience was still great! I still want to visit again next time I go back to Tainan✨
ps. Basically, there will be no seats at this restaurant without a reservation. It is strongly recommended to make a reservation before going there (I made a reservation about three weeks in advance)
